Staying on the topic of Hayter, see this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3i_3V1aRvM

A over hyped fan asks for a autograph and Kiefer Sutherland shoves him off. I get he is a celebrity and some might think that the fan is invading his personal space but honestly it does not look it. He does eventually signs the autograph after the fan apologizes several times.

But is this the Snake that we want for the future? Really, I miss Hayter even more now. At least he loves his fan base.

We all know what the obvious choice here is.
Fuck videogames, go out and have fun.

When my girlfriend saw how disappointed I was that I couldn't see it live, she got all on me about how I'm too obsessed with MGS and blah blah I don't want to go spend time with her blah blah I don't listen blah blah. I don't really know, I wasn't listening. Pssssssh... wimmin.

Anyway, I guess I'll be watching it on my phone a few hours after it airs. :,(

Hayter was in Vegas for a weekend and ignored me when I asked him if I could stop by and get an autograph. He then PM'd me & gave me an email for a request. I emailed him & then I got a response 2 weeks later from an 'admin' saying he isn't in Vegas anymore. No shit, it was 2 weeks later.

keither is justified, the fan just sticks a folder out of nowhere right into his neck. if that david hayter, hed be probably offering him a hand job while quietly sobbing 'please accept me'

Kiefer Sutherland is well known for being a drunk asshole.

He might be busy but at least he did not shoved or was rude to you.

You must see some videos of Hayter at expos and conventions. He is literally gathered by 100s of fans but never does he shove them off. Plus the fan had no intention to hurt Sutherland.

I'd be queuing up behind Hayter if I knew he would touch my penis.

That fan was rubbing Sutherland's neck with a poster the same way he think throwing stones at a girl is a good way to get her attention

Don't be so overdramatic. Did you miss the part where he was actually signing autographs? You make it sound like Kiefer was walking down the street and punched a random fan in the face.

Hayter is gone. Deal with it.

Something I still don't fully understand: is The Phantom Pain just one big map, or is it a little bit like Peace Walker where you have several maps to drop into, this time each being a large open world environment?

Funny feeling, I always see the musical dome when I go to university.

Will Kojiima be at the gamescom booth as well? Still need a signature.

...How did Geoff and Kojima become best buds? With all the scoops he gets, I wonder if they go out on the town whenever they're around each other.

I think he said there are several big areas but not one single open world.

It's like Destiny;

- Mother Base is the Tower
- Afghanistan is Old Russia
- Location X is Moon
- Location Y is Mars

They're independent locations, but the map size of each location is extremely big.

Take a good look at that video, while Kiefer is signing that other guy keeps pushing the board he wants signed in his neck. I'd get pissed off as well.

While nothing is confirmed, it's safe to say that the game won't be as broken up as Peace Walker. Where in Peace Walker you had several missions taking place throughout one area (broken down into smaller areas with loading screens), in The Phantom Pain, it seems that you carry out your objectives in these gigantic sandbox areas. So, based on what we've seen, I think TPP will use a sort-of quest system, in which you pick a mission while you are out in the field (likely via the iDroid) and you tackle it how you see fit. There may be one game map, per se, but it is unclear how the sandboxes within that game map are connected. During the GZ reveal, the narrator said that you would be able to fly your chopper between different countries, so either the chopper or Mother Base would be your "hub," presumably. (Africa and Afghanistan, for example - probably part of one "game map," but obviously different areas.)

Hope this made sense and/or helped?!

I'm pretty sure that it's a lot of slightly smaller maps. Like, I dunno. Every level is a "Camp Omega" and you just progress from one to the next. Which is probably for the better to be honest, there's not very much exciting in just riding a horse through a desert.

Well in that case I've got news for you..

The map in the background is Phantom Pain's Afghanistan map.

That's your takeaway, huh? People are mobbing him, cameras are flashing in his face, the guy keeps asking him about his drinking and Shia Lebouf and that's your takeaway?

Somebody invaded his personal space and he reacted? Oh yeah, what a bully.

Hayter can sign autographs all nice and friendly whenever he's asked because usually he's at a con with a moderated line of Metal Gear nerds. He doesn't get mobbed at the airport. Weak, weak comparison.

Yeah, exactly. I'm sure they are both nice guys - they both seem to be, anyway.

Yea. Whats with nitpicking what he does compared to the other guys? I think they are both great. They both do work that i really enjoy as well.

I think Keifer brings something to BB that was missing before with the range of emotion. He seems more flawed and in pain now, and it'll be crazy to turn into that blood covered demon. Hayter i love, cuz he is Snake. You know? The original game was such a great blend of everything. I think after MGS on PS1 i started looking for voice actors. I love that Kojima added credits for them.

Man... all this waiting can be painful.

Man... all this waiting can be painful.

I know that feeling. It's always on my mind. My girlfriend has recently complained that she thinks MGS is more important to me than she is.

I mean... it is, but I can't let her know that.
j/k :l

Hey! Here's an idea! Create a separate "Evil stars don't sign autographs even though they should" topic, or get over the fact that they are humans and may or may not be inclined to punch you if you irritate them. Now let's get back to MGSV, shall we?

I was with you, man... right up until you described them as "humans". They are indentured slaves of the Geek Master Race, nothing more.

From my understanding, Kojima said that it'll be a few huge maps alongside smaller locations like the Hospital scene and Motherbase. Africa is already confirmed as a location Big Boss visits, so I'd be very surprised if it isn't playable.

Oh come on, as others already pointed out the fan pushed the board he wants signed in Sutherland's neck the whole time so of course he get's pissed.

But then the fan came to him and apologized, you know what Sutherland then did? he signed the thing! I can count on one hand the celebs who would have done that, most wouldn't gave a fuck and just drive off.

Like others have said, I'd be annoyed too if someone was poking my neck with a poster, it certainly doesn't help that there's paparazzi with cameras flashing everywhere, at least he signed it in the end, thought that was good of him to be honest.

Stop stealing my ideas, youtube!

lol i said the exact same thing.

Aren't you even a little worried that you share the same mentality as a YouTube commenter...? ;P

I'd be worried if i'd say something like this:

Screaming Meat said:
Good sir, I would crawl belly down through five miles of broken glass with my flies undone just to suck the last dick that fucked her.

:lol

For those who don't know the context, Screaming Meat is talking about Stefanie Joosten aka Quiet.

I laughed way too hard at this.

No wonder we don't get english Kojima station episodes anymore. Sean Eyestone is in america and helps with voice recording.

Sean Eyestone was the narrator of the TPP 30 minutes gameplay demo. So he maybe helps preparing a Metal Gear Online gameplay demonstration for possibly Gamescom or TGS? or even the Eurogamer expo in september.
