No wonder we don't get english Kojima station episodes anymore. Sean Eyestone is in america and helps with voice recording.

Sean Eyestone was the narrator of the TPP 30 minutes gameplay demo. So he maybe helps preparing a Metal Gear Online gameplay demonstration for possibly Gamescom or TGS? or even the Eurogamer expo in september.

I think he's also in charge of localization, so he'd be at KojiPro LA doing that.

So what questions would you guys ask?

I have no idea atm...

Will Solid Snake and David Hay.... ah nvm
leuhkikcskn4.gif

If i had ONLY ONE question for Kojima what would i ask him ....hm.. let's see....

Probably "How long is the game already in development, including Fox Engine.. and how different is the development process now compared to other MGS games, what has changed?" I really wonder when they started working on the Fox Engine because if the game looked THAT good 3 years ago they must be working on it quite some time now.

I made a Twitter account just to ask Kojima if he has Big Boss Rank on any MGS games. Not sure if that was worth it.

My question is currently 3rd highest upvoted on facebook. They're gonna choose a few to ask and the highest rated 2 are if Kojima is or isn't Nuclear, and when the release date is. So basically my question is the #1 upvoted 'real' question lol.

Here's what I want answered (hopefully Dawgu can get it asked if anything!):

I badly want to know why real weapons were omitted for V. Past games made certain real guns a point, like Ocelot & his Colt SAA or how Snake/Raiden figured out that the hijackers of the Tanker/Plant were Russian mercenaries based on their AKS-74u's & AN-94's. The omission of real weapons is disappointing.

I wanna ask him if he really decides to quit metal gear, who would he likely entrust the franchise to? who is the up and comer at Kojipro?

Great fucking question! I hope this get's answered!! Really bugs me, i think this is the first MGS game where they use fake weapon names, i mean why the fuck?

Link to that facebook thingy pls.

Another question which must get asked is about INSTANT ALERT.

Thats interesting. Specially since they are going with the marketing of FOX = Realism.

I would ask him something like. What is your process to pick up a shirt and its design? and do you actually do your own shopping? haha

MGS related? Who is the character you have the most fun writing and why?

Great question, hopefully he responds. Also, got a link to the facebook page? Wanted to ask if the main Metal Gear theme would be in MGSV/still had copyright issues surrounding it.

Hey, Sn4ke_911, Another bit of evidence for Team A

2012 is a fairly interesting year. This was the year Hideo Kojima announced Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes in August. But something happened earlier that year. In February, David Hayter tweeted this [which he has deleted since then but has been on the internet forever. Here is the broken Twitter link: https://twitter.com/DavidBHayter/status/167421698650542080.]

RmAj3dR.jpg

Some might say that they were there for recording some lines for the HD Collection, but the collection was already released few months before that. Plus Hayter specifically states that he can't really reveal why he was there. There could be a counter argument that they might be recording voice overs for The Star Wars Old Republic, which would make sense since Paul Eiding is also doing a VO in the game. But why stand in front of a Metal Gear Solid 4 poster? Is He Returning back as Solid Snake? Furthermore, why did Hayter delete that tweet? Your guess is as good as mine.

Fast forward August 2012! The big day, Kojima reveals Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes. A couple of days later, Hayter tweets this.

h3OhJEV.jpg

Yet again, Hayter's tweet is rather confusing. At this point he does not deny or accept that he will be returning to reprise his role. In fact why tweet about it all if he is not involved. Fortunately, he did not deleted this and can be checked out here. https://twitter.com/DavidBHayter/status/242065211819966465

Another point to be noted that during this time, somehow people started discussing whether Hayter will be a part of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes [this is months before Hayter carried out that poll which we will discuss later]. In fact a couple of publications ran articles speculating whether Hayter will return which is odd since he never tweeted or said anything during that period that will lead people to think he is involved or not.

More to come next week!

Yeah that's another good question. I don't like the instant alert, but I think they're gonna say the reasoning behind it was the implementation of REFLEX. I turn reflex mode off, so getting instant alert is a bitch.

Thanks man. Link is above. Upvote my question on there please!

Goes along with my guess that we'll see a young Solid Snake in the game.

YEP. TEAM A ALL DAY, EVERY DAY BABY!

Link isn't working for some reason

It works but you need a facebook account.

I hope they announce the game for pc on GC.
The probability that it would happen is low but I would not like to play it on my last gen consoles and I refuse to buy a new console.
That 400€ are going to be spent for a new graphics card (probably a Nvidia 880 when they're available in germany).

i would think it would be relatively easy to change this. on contact with a guard:

  • guard yells "contact" alerting all guards within shouting distance
  • guard reaches for radio and calls CP
  • during reflex, both of these actions occur. all or nothing. -or- the relfex is divided into two "sections" that can result in both types of alerts
  • with relex off, shooting before "contact" = no alert.
  • with relex off, shooting the radio results in a "contact" alert of nearby enemis, but no radio
  • shooting the soldiers radio directly negates all radio or base-wide alerts

That's how it's been handled since MGS2. Don't understand why they had to change it up.

it's definitely because of reflex. the game would be way too easy if you had the guard reaching for a radio AFTER the player missed the reflex shot. it just needs to be balanced properly

I guess. I mean, I get why Reflex is there, but I wished they hadn't balanced the game around it.

I am sure they will take a pass and fine tune this after people playing through GZ. I think the demo showed things a little differently. But that will be something they have to keep adjusting until the game is out.

At first i thought Reflex mode was a cheap scape goat. But i do value what it does. Also, the gameplay is a lot different and the addition to it feels more like an enhancement that something detracting from the experience. With all that said. I love that they give us the option to turn it off. I think the focus of player responsiveness and animation is paying off. Gunplay is too much fun to reload and try to sneak whenever you are in the situation.

I thought it was well know that Hayter is in and voicing
---------------Quiet.

Regardless, it's still tacky.

I agree with this. Reflex should be balanced differently & radioing guards should be added. I loved the MGS2 and MGS3 radioing element. Shouting 'contact' is ridiculous. With reflex off, you have to already be aiming at the guy who shouts to get him down before he alerts everyone.

Lately I've been playing Fallout New Vegas pretending that
I'm playing as big boss if a nuclear holocaust had occurred.

Wasn't the Paul Eiding tweet about the Old Republic MMO?
