I'm of the opinion that this movie could've easily been PG, and probably would've made it better/an easier sell for kids.

For example, Speed cursing made like no damn sense whatsoever in the grand scheme of things

I can understand that but the way DoktorEvil phrased their post made me think they thought the movie was too tame.

Funny enough myself and everyone I watched the film with loved the moment that Speed uttered an actual curse word. It was the point of escalation where his anger boiled over and he became committed to the race at any cost. Changing into a true racer, not just a driver, calling back his conversation with Racer X.

In the UK, it is a plain PG. A 12A would probably be the PG-13's closest equivalent.

That's what I paid for it at Best Buy long ago. Hasn't it been at that price for a long time now?
