Is there an issue with saves? I got to the jungle, died, quit the game, went back and my shortcut isn't there. I did give the guy a bomb. I went to my player stats and it shows my last game played and I died in 1-2, when I really died in 2-1
Giving Tunnel Man 1 object isn't enough to complete the tunnel. Visit him again he should ask for something else.
Okay, thanks. It's been three years or so since I played the PC game so I couldn't remember what all was required. I was thinking the that each tunnel added an additional step to unlocking it.
o-oh.. I'll just leave now..
Might wanna fix the other half of that quote tag.The original song should be in the game! More upbeat music in general.
Yeah I think they pull boxart from Xbox Live, maybe someone forgot to upload it or something.has this happened to anyone else? it's driving my OCD nuts
I grimace a little when people call Spelunky and Isaac roguelikes. But the core formula that hooks me is undeniable.. I just fucking love punishing, procedurally generated, loot whoring, permadeath porn pablum.
I am kind of surprised about the lack of the original soundtrack. Presumably there was some licensing problem.

That's an odd comparison to make. This game really shares very little with Fez and Journey. Those games were made to be relaxed, experience type games while Spelunky has a VERY different goal.I fucking love this game. Way better than Fez, and WAY better than Journey. So much fun, and all through really great gameplay.
Those dark stages, man... so difficult, especially when water is around. You can tell the randomness is set to make those levels a bit easier than they would otherwise, but it's still damn tough.
Also, I can't seem to make it through an entire world without killing the shopkeeper and taking all his shit. soooo much fun.
Replayed the demo, I seriously don't have the patience.
The levels get harder as you progress and so you need to make sure you are collecting items, money to buy items, and health in order to survive. Most of my best runs have been the ones were I went through the first couple of levels really slowly so by the time I got to area 2 I had some good items and 6-8 health. There is no way you'll be able to beat the game unless you spend time getting good items and tons of health.Played the demo last night. Maybe I don't understand the core concept of this game, but what's the point of doing anything besides just rushing to the exit? Do you still progress through the game if you skip everything and go to the exit or do you have to collect a number of things before you can truly progress? The way I am seeing the game right now, it feels like the exit should be closed off until you aquire a speacial item or a number of treasure.
Whoa really? I haven't had a single crash yet.I love this game but it crashes on startup like 2/3 times.

Hmmm there must be something weird going on. Maybe try deleting it and redownloading it? That's not normal.Yeah, I just had it crash 4 straight times before getting it to play. It stops on the white screen with the one rotating dragon circle thing or whatever that is.
Number six of thirteen on the fastest times leaderboard. Yeah that's right, I beat Spelunky. Who wants to touch me?
Only 13 people have beaten the game so far? Damn.
I believe it. I haven't even gotten past the jungle yet!Only 13 people have beaten the game so far? Damn.
If it's like the PC version, then no. They actually start waiting for you at the exits.Do the shopkeepers ever stop being aggro once you've gotten them riled up?
Is it possible to complete this game in co-op or is it not counted in the same way single player is?
Yes, the buttons are completely remapable. Can we map the buttons? Would like to use the arcade stick for this.
