SpikeOut Release Date (JPN)

on a completely unrelated note...wario werent you a nintendo guy? have you migrated yourself to the dark side?

I remember playing SpikeOut in the arcades of Japan in 1998.
It was an AWESOME game, if the new game is of that grade, it'll be wicked.
The gameplay for SpikeOut kinda felt like an evolution of Streets of Rage, but in 3D.
(Feels like Streets of Rage 2 mostly)

Oh, and the Arcade machine for the game rocked, 4 players, 4 seperate screens.

This game coming to the US? I hope it's good. Beat em up + Xbox Live ...could be fun

Do you really think it's gonna stay in Japan with it's 30,000 userbase? Come on.

Of course Xenon might figure into such a wierd decision, but I doubt it.

It always makes me nervous when games ship the week before the end of the developer's fiscal year. Still, looking forward to this.

What makes you nervous in this case? I don't think Spikeout would have any impact on Segas financial results anyway, regardless of when it's released. If it sells more then 10k copies in Japan in its lifespan I would be very impressed.

Just got the latest planning from Sega France. Both Spikeout and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe are planned for a March release in Europe.

Same here, got the releaseschedule from Atari, which does Sega, Dutch release 25 march.

Blim, no updated pictures of the game or anything?

Spikeout is such a shit awesome game. I wasted so much of my cash in Osaka playing Final Edition.

Still worried because the Xbox one didn't have weapons implemented at TGS. :/ That's a huge chunk of the game right there.

edit: Roofle "Flogging Play Spikeout Battle"

But how long can an arcade game like this last? Dynamite Deka 2 and Zombie Revenge were a little too short. Does Spikeout play much better than those games did?

Spikeout does play heaps better, but I'm wondering what they've done to make the game a little longer. It really needs branching for a home console version.

I can't wait for this game :)
I hope the JP version is region free so I can get it early AND play on XBL.
Please don't let me down with this one Sega
