I was a black inkling girl and I loved it, speaking of which, I dont think I saw another black inkling besides me, and that is a lil disheartening.
I was a black inkling boy, so we're out there!

Lots of buzz on my TL. Seems like people liked it. Really looking forward to the single player
Yeah I saw plenty.. even some japanese ones. It was awesome.I was a black inkling boy, so we're out there!
Anyone else really love the music during matchmaking? I know there's not a huge reggae fanbase on GAF, but the chill reggae vibe during matchmaking was fantastic. Hope there's more of that in the game. I liked the cheesy rock music as well.
How do you quick turn? This is the biggest advantage of gyro controls. I switched to stick after a few games, but being able to turn around quickly is a great option in some situations.
I found them to be perfect length, keeping things on point for quick action. I think if they went any longer it could mess with the flow.
I'm worried a lack of voice chat combined with no parties until August may kill any chances of there being competitive community.
Yes! I've been obsessed over that track since I first heard it when Treehouse was demoing last E3. Someone on tumblr had recorded that short bit with the song with no crowd or voice but I lost the link. I really need an OST of this game.
Squidboards is already a thing, so I wouldn't be worried. A lot of the prominent Smash people are already on the case organizing stuff.

Wouldn't be surprised if they hosted some kind of Splatoon tournament at E3.Bill Trinen tweeted that board just a bit of go! https://twitter.com/trintran/status/596901019662946304
They're definitely behind the competitive scene that could build from it.

That'd be great. The Smash tournament was already a good push for Smash last year. Splatoon needs all the help and word of mouth it can get.Wouldn't be surprised if they hosted some kind of Splatoon tournament at E3.

Inkling Girls >>>>>>>>>>>> Inkling Boys. Let me know if you disagree so we can settle it in Smas--- er Splatoon![]()
I was doing that, it's really easyThis is from the Squidboards, apparently found out at E3 2014
I'll try it out in the next hour we can play in.
The biggest problem with competitive splatoon is the entry fee for local multiplayer 8 Wii U's and games. At least the netcode isn't shiet

You could do a competitive scene around the Dojo instead.

Why is the thought on roller being OP so contrasting? Seems either food think it's balanced perfectly, or over powered to the moon. I didn't get a chance to play so I have no opinion.

Seems kinda pointless, outside of doing once to climb up a wall. You can see how much better it is to just to shoot a line and go through that than do the jump shoot thing. You move faster, cover more ground with ink (which is the main objective of the game) and in turn, have more ink to hide in.

Seems like it would be an ok escape option, but yeah, looks cool but utility is limited.
In high level competitive play, Splat Zones, Turf Wars, or otherwise, it'll probably be critical for roll outs to gain stage control. Get your quick units into position as quick as possible, with your Roller+Pocket bringing up the rear, covering ground. Saving a few seconds to secure a choke point and the beat opponent to an area could be critical.

Team Gyro.

People think it's OP because it's a one hit kill if you run someone over with it. If you can get up close to someone with it, they're done.
I wouldn't say it's balanced perfectly, but I also wouldn't say it's nearly as OP as some people seem to think.
