Voting for Splatoon OT2 Subtitle is now available
-- QUOTE TO REVEAL --

14 possible alternatives selected pretty much entirely from user suggestions. Unless some out-of-the-park suggestion happens that is universally agreed on, these are the ones we're looking at. Whichever subtitle has the most votes by the time this thread runs it's course will be selected.

This goes without saying but please don't spread this anywhere or try to rig the polls. Let's make it fair and fun.

Wait we're already thinking of OT2. Why it'll have to be "Why the heck are you naked?!" (notice how in a later panel they say paint as much of the floors and walls as you can :( )

So how do you cash in on win streaks? Talk to the spikey haired guy? I had a 16.5 streak and did that and he said something like 'woah dude awesome check back with me tomorrow'
The sleeping cat; Judd.

The reason you're thinking of Spyke is prior to today's update there was a glitch where you could buy something from Spyke then get the streak bonus from Judd and get completely refunded what you just spent with Spyke.

Desperate to see if I could bring this glitch back I decided to try deleting the update data. The Wii U refused to boot the game up until I had redownloaded the update, lol.

I was on a platform on Saltspary Rig, the one above the Ranked Battles zone. A teammate super jumps on me and pushes me down to the water. Fuck this.

Finally got to play some ranked mode last night. Splatzones is a fun change up, but I definitely prefer turf wars. Splatzones just feels like domination modes from other shooters and gets too hectic and campfest-ish for me to play a ton of it. Where as turf war feels very new and fresh. And is also more fun for mediocre players like me since the bulk of good players moved on to ranked.

I'm also only level 12, so I still need points, thus it's harder to justify putting limited gaming time into ranked right now since you get no points if your team loses. I'll check it out more once I hit 20.

Single player wise I finished up the second set of levels and boss. Need to get through the third and get the Asrospray.

Finally tried it out last night. It's pretty fun, and the online multiplayer isn't nearly as annoying as I initially thought it would be. Still not too keen on only playing with the Gamepad except in 1v1 battles.

I don't think Aerosprays are OP, they are just good at racking up points. I prefer them on close quarters maps, they are much easier to kill with there. But they are awful when you are trying to push into an area with a long corridor entrance. Their range is really, really bad. You have to be good at sneaking up on people and popping them, or utilizing your specials and sub weapons effectively.

Speaking of which, I tried out Dual Squelcher last night and really liked it. It's not as good for killing as the Aerospray, but it's got some great range that lets your protect stuff from on high platforms, which I love doing (and really isn't super effective with Aerosprays). It's got echolocator, too, which is useful to combat a push and dig in heels for defense. I went on quite the kill streak with it last night. Granted, you don't rack up as much coverage as higher rate of fire weapons, but I feel it's a lot more versatile.

Honestly, the only thing I think is "OP" right now is the Kraken, but that's likely because I just don't know how to avoid it perfectly yet other than to swim away (which seems like you are giving up a lot of turf).

Yesterday three rollers were coming charging at me in the side walkway on the mall level.

I just threw an ink shower and they couldn't get pass it and I just murdered them.

Good times. I love when the ink shower stops people.

Welcome, such an awesome game that needs to be supported.

Join us when you are ready.

Awesome. Anything i should be aware of? i'll be having one of my coworkers come over tomorrow so we can try it. It'll be hard to get away from the witcher 3. But this game looks darn good. :)

I am so sorry for anyone on my team in Ranked while I try to figure out out to use the Custom Blaster effectively. This thing seems designed for kills and it's slow as hell so I think Splat Zones is the only place I can really make use of it. I keep doing this thing where I miss and stand there like an idiot while I wait to shoot again - it's gonna take a bit to get out of the Aerospray RG rapid-fire mindset. At least the blast radius is pretty awesome for splatting around corners.

Shoot and squid. Shoot and squid.

What weapon are you using? I like the shower but I don't really like the weapon it's on.

Welcome to Dye is still my favorite and I voted for that, but I guess it would have been more fitting as a first OT title than a second

Stay away from rollers, shoot from a distance and backtrack.

You can switch between gyro controls and dual sticks

Just have fun

The 'game of zones' one made me laugh, that has my vote.

Been on a horrible streak as I try out new weapons that aren't the roller. I like using the zapper a lot, as well as the custom jet squelcher/dual squelcher. But man, nothing beats the sneaky set ups of a good roller. May play with the aerosprays more.

I like how they ain't afraid to add things to the maps for the different modes, like the grating on the Mall connecting the upper paths.

being busted down to c+ ranked hurts man. fuck me. at least it's close games at this level and not just pub stomps, but i'm still losing! fuck everything.

Jump onto walls in squid form. Most people using the kraken don't expect it, will go right past you, and then you can get behind them and take them out.
