I think the right balance between painting the ground and killing enemies. And of course not dying, because then you have less time to paint or kill!

Wanted to hop in, but girlfriend pulled rank, so we're in 1v1 getting her acclimated to the controls. It's not bad for just trying out weapons, but using the Wii u pro controller feels so shitty and twitchy compared to the gamepad.

I'm also cursing a lot for such a colorful game. Teamwork seems to work pretty well without chatting since it's an intimate enough number being 4 and the space being small enough and the map on the gamepad.

* constantly paint
* synch your dives so you never run out of ink
* only kill when an enemy cross your path
* paint walls only for traversal purposes.

Splattershot Jr and just focusing on inking the ground. Splat enemies that get close to you but focus on inking the ground and use the super jump to move to locations faster if an ally is near an non-inked or enemy covered area.

Play through single player with them so you don't feel like you're fucking anything up.
