Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Sorry if this has been asked I was busy all morning

I just turned on my WiiU to see Splatoon has a patch update from Ver. 1.0.0 to Ver. 1.2.0

did they fix Spyke and Judd refund?

The most questionable teammates I've had is when I'm off covering ground on Saltspray Rig to build my special with the plan to jump to a teammate near the zone so we can retake it, but then my teammates super jump to MY location. Why would you super jump to there, heh.

I hate charger, specially in ranked, and in the mall. And why I keep falling in the water while I am dominating them. Fuck this game

My closest game in a while:

A tenth of a percentage point!

Taking a break, though. At the moment my girlfriend's cousin is playing Turf Wars using my account. She's a beginner at TPSes (and video games) in general, but loves the roller. And I'm getting money/equipment experience!

Oh man, that must've been a good game!

How do you get that gas mask? Does it eventually unlock in the hat store?

I've been super impressed with the balancing in the game-- with the sole exception of that damned Aerospray gun... I swear, 3/4 (if not more) of the times I get splatted, it's by someone using that weapon. People with that weapon are almost always at the top of the score sheet too.

There are many possible reasons for this:

Your playstyle lends itself to being weak against it (close range).
Areospray has a relatively high level unlock, so whoever has it is experienced.
Aerospray will always score highly due to good ink coverage.

So I didn't know Spyke could get you the exact item you request (meaning it comes with the same sub abilities)... it cost me 50k for a 3 star shirt. :(

Also, Nintendo Life has an interview up: Interview: Splatoon Producer Hisashi Nogami on Claiming New Territory for Wii U
Can you explain the reasoning for gradually rolling out additional stages, items and modes in the months after release?

There are two reasons for this:

First, we put a lot of effort into every inch of the online stages, so by playing them over and over again users can get a better feel for the terrain, giving the gameplay more breadth and depth. The characteristics of the weapons and the strategies for using them vary with each weapon, and of course these will vary depending on the stage you use them in and even what combination of equipment your teammates and opponents are using. We want users to enjoy each and every single piece of content we've prepared, so rather than provide a lot at once, we're going to be adding them a little at a time.

Second, is that while we've paid a lot of attention to the balancing the game, the flip-side of this is that we feel the game needs weapons with a lot of variety as well as stages with complex layouts to really expand the gameplay.

The problem there is that these can sometimes disrupt the overall balance of the game.

The real fun of Splatoon comes when players are comfortable with the game, and are able to play to their full potential with other players they meet in the online matches.

We'll be adding more stages and weapons as we see how the community matures. We'll also do something similar with further game modes too.

Maybe s/he was feeling lonely and wanted your company.

Squid jumped straight into a wail without warning :( Feels bad man.
That's the wail's best use. There's no indicator that it's currently in use on the map, and even if echo is up, the wail has infinite range, so you'll see that your jump point isn't in a melee, so you'll feel relatively safe.

I find it hard to believe you don't notice the large amount of double kills which is down to latency.

You can believe it or not all you want, I know what my experience is first hand. :P

Double kills will occur only when I am having noticeable internet issues on my end, which is usually when the WiiU is working on the wifi and/or my roommate is using Skype.

So the Amiibos are getting a re-release right? Some of that gear is pretty hot.

The last time I went to Toy's R Us they had quite a few. If they still have them when I leave the office, I can get you some and you can just pay the cost + shipping. Let me know! Also, if you just looking for the single Boy & Girl, Walmart.com has them available.

My amiibo came in last night, I played a few matches of the Inkling Girl challenges, they're pretty fun. I'm not looking forward to going against the Final Boss again, so I may just skip that one. I'd be satisfied just playing against him the one time.

So I bought the game on launch day yet haven't had much time to really sit down and play until 2 days ago. So far it really is fun and addictive even though the lack of content is obvious. Can't wait to start leveling up higher and being able to participate in ranked matches.

I have a question too. Can someone explain to me exactly how scoring works online? There are matches where I think I do very well yet don't make as many points as I feel I should. Is it strictly how much of the map you cover in ink or does splatting an opponent count?

I've got Splatoon on the brain now that I won't be able to play it until next Tuesday.

I'm trying to brainstorm a good skill setup for the Roller. It seems like you'd need Ninja Squid to maximize sneakiness, which is what Rollers need to set up their splats. From there, I'm not sure. Does the Run Speed Increase ability make Rollers run faster when they...roll? Something I've been curious about, but could not test.

I think I'm one level away from getting the Dynamo Roller, and I can't wait to give it a spin~!

It should! I got it via Spyke order myself, which means that it should unlock at the store if you've access to three-subslot gear. Or just look around in your plaza.

And yes, it was a push and pull match!

If I could take you up on that offer, that would be amazing. The three-pack only, though-- I really want that squid!

Damn, well, that explains a lot. I, too, got the gas mask, and it cost be 30k. I misread and thought it was 3k at first. I was like, damn.

I just noticed Spyke is a thief and a slimy scammer

Jelonzo has the Camo Zip Hoodie 9000 today
Spyke has found the Camo Zip Hoodie I ordered days ago for 30000

that is 4 Zeroes Spyke!

Is it? Haven't noticed any lack of content and I have like 35 hours clocked in the game already.

I was blown away when this happened. Personal victory!

A few days ago in the morning I went to Spyke to buy a 3 star shirt I had ordered. He told me 15,000.

I diligently battled to earn that money, ranking up a bit in the process.

Go back to Spike in the afternoon...

"Whoa, you're looking really funky fresh mate! Shirt's 30,000."

To be far, at the start of the game, they basically tell you not to trust Spyke - Something about "smelling funky" (?)

Meant to play only one game, turned into four or five. Oops.

Nice to see longer range guns holding their own as people come into them.

All these report of online issues, I've never had one issue in all my playtime.

Yeah, mostly smooth sailing here. I've had more problems with mario kart 8 honestly, which prompted me to get an Ethernet adapter and to configure my router for QoS/port forwarding.

I think I've only had one D/C in over 20 hours. I do get some crazy lag every now and then though (ink doesn't show on the ground), but it usually just lasts a few seconds before going back to normal.
