Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I wish the lobby would show a small "friend" icon next to your friends. Sometimes you miss when anybody of your friends join.

This is incredible.

These kinds of grammatical errors will not be tolerated.

So is there even any point in doing ranked matches if you aren't part of a premade team of 4 friends?
At high ranks you can get points faster than in turf wars.

But you need to get out of C hell first. Which I had trouble with yesterday so I went back to Turf Wars until I got better equips, settled on a weapon, and "got good" in general.

You can't even join friends in a ranked battle lobby, can you? So having a premade team of any sort in that mode is impossible.

Yes which makes sense. No one want to play as randoms against premades especially GAF.

Wait for the Aug patch which will allows a party of 4 vs a party of 4 and also create a part of 8.

From the Nintendoflie interview

This control style is often mistaken as being similar to that used in Wii U Panorama View, but it's actually very different. Tilting the Wii U GamePad just a little moves the camera (field of view) a lot. If I were to make an analogy, it's like your wrists become a third analogue stick; they're perfectly suited for smoothly and fluidly changing the direction you are facing.

Just what I was saying.

Anyway, wasn't going to touch Splat Zones for a while but got annoyed with losing several turf wars with low ranked team mates. I won my first match, ended up getting hooked and managed to advance to rank C. It's a fun mode that's a whole lot more stressful and intense than regular turf wars.

I've been using the Splattershot Pro with both Ink Saver and Ink Refill fashion perks. IMO, those are almost indispensible with this set because the weapon is an ink guzzler. The Pro's fire rate is acceptable but I really like its combination of range, power, and accuracy. I liked using the Junior but the irregular spray, limited range, and weak shots lowers its splatting potential. That was cramping my style since I like playing a semi-defensive role even in Turf Wars. If you're trying to hold off opponents they need to dye quickly.

The pro's splat bombs are great for flushing out opponents while staying a safe distance. With proper positioning I can challenge both Zones at the Skatepark with the bomb+shooter combo or even harass chargers at their perches. Also the inkstrike is nice for interrupting enemy momentum if we're getting locked out. I think I'm going to stick with this and improve with it before trying out some other weapons.

Started the Day as B- with 70 points...i'm at C+ with 34 points...

Fuck this game.

I give up.

Back after dinner to continue the rage

I think I'm starting to hate the Splattershot pro

I hated it at first after switching to it from the Junior (well...loved the power, hated the ink inefficiency). Each weapon has it's own fire/dunk rhythm and when you're used to something else you can find yourself running out of ink too often. Also, it comes with Splat Bombs which also use a ton of ink per bomb. I think the Ink Saver and Refill fashion perks really help this weapon.

It's tricky. My only beef with it is the ink consumption. Otherwise the loadout almost has everything I could ask for even though I heavily favor rapid fire weapons.

I'm totally with you. It is so good in every way but I feel like I spend more time as a squid refilling ink than I am shooting and I hate that.

Fucking went from being on the cusp of B- to C with 50 points. I fucking HATE this mode when Urchin Underpass is chosen.

I feel your pain, man.

I'm a fucking masochist for this mode. Most times after a match I throw my remote control on the floor. During the match I bite the Gamepad Camera part when the team if failing.

I know I ain't good at the game, but my teammates just seem to have been carried to C+ the way they act.

Urchin Underpass is garbage. The center is an impenetrable fortress which, once any mildly competent team takes over, is never gonna be recaptured without some sort of miracle. It's pretty bad in Turf Wars but is a fucking nightmare on Splat Zones.

I just don't play Ranked when Underpass is on rotation, it's just gonna kill your rank.

The thing with the SplattershotPro is that due to the extra range, it's hard to efficiently cover the floor as you have to use similar to a charger in those tight spaces and that sometimes in high grounds (like the Rig) it becomes hard to aim at the floor.

Guess I need a load out that makes more sense with it. Had a ink saver main and faster refill before that made a world of difference.

It is a rapid fire weapon :3

You don't have to take your finger from the trigger? Technically rapid fire.

I love the map, probably because my team is always the one to take the center. Not a coincidence.
