Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

I was thinking about playing some Witcher 3..then after 5 hours...hitting level 18..beating the single player boss and completing the first leg of the Amiibo challenges..i realized I spent the night playing Splatoon...Wow....This game is just...amazing.
 
The rapid blaster with Damage UP and Ninja Squid is a good loadout. The Damage up makes the SPLASH DAMAGE MORE POWERFUL and direct hits kill in 2. It also has the fucking BUBBLE and a slightly longer range and rate of fire!

Underated weapon that splats so many people so quickly.
 
Good lord what happened!? Took one day off from Splatoon on friday... played on the weekend a few times didn't win a single match. Always got totally crushed... most times we were stuck at our spawn point. xD

But last week was one map and two weapons iirc. N-Zap 85 and Port on Monday and the brush before the weekend? I really want a new map in the rotation.

Last night I had a fantasy of me throwing the Gamepad into my 47" while playing/losing. Not cool :(

After a long weekend playing Splatoon, being at work now really sucks. I just want to furiously splash with my ink brush.

I know that frustration too well... that's probably why I won't revisit that mode until custom teams. What weapon are you using in ranked battles btw?
 
I feel I have finally attained the proper balance of "fresh" and "function"

...and now I don't want to change my clothes.

i switch it up, but mostly variants on the assault weapons and sometimes a kraken roller. currently mucking around with the jnr, back to the security of mah bubble

I've been having a lot of success in Splat Zones with my Tentatek Splattershot. Been a "B" for a while.

I know you just want to shit on what I like (like you always do, you swine-parrot!), but here's what makes me happy at the moment... I have a good distribution of abilities that jive well with the way I play:

I also continue to love the schoolgirl outfit, which has multiple Damage Ups, Defense Up, ink-saving and refilling abilities, and multiple abilities filling up and extending my special.

I got disconnected during the shot where the level is shown, before the players are shown...and it showed the other players running around and inking the place.
 
Brush users are sneaky fucks in Splat Zones. They'll pull shenanigans like running into the enemy base on Port Mackerel and looping back around via the high ground so that they can spawn people right above the Splat Zone.

That's what I started doing with the brush tonight, except in turf wars. Someone would follow me and I'd wait around a corner and brush their face!
 
Is there a way of "rerolling" abilities on gear? It fucking sucks when you unlock the same ability twice on a single piece of gear; it's a complete waste of a slot, as they don't stack (Judd specifically says so). I don't even know why it's possible, as it just fucks you over.

If it's not possible to reroll abilities, then at the very least, what happens when you get all unique types of gear? Can you get duplicates with different abilities? Do you choose which copy to discard?

They do stack. Maybe someone can link the more specific post about this. You can reroll them too. When you are lvl 20 Spyke sell's reroll snail's for 30K a piece. You can use them to reroll the sub-abilities of the equipment. In addition during splatfests you can get these snails faster.

You can reroll with Spyke at level 20.

Abilities do stack, but with diminishing returns.

They stack - the game says they have diminishing returns, but they stack.

And yes, you can re-roll. Pay Spyke 30,000g when you hit lv. 20.

I try to be good at it but it's hard.
Yesterday in a GAF lobby, I sneaked behind an inkbrush user, go in kid form and attack immediatly, he notice me so turn around.
My character sloooooowly put his arms above his head to attack but my ennemy already spammed ZR to death, I can hear the button suffering through the screen :lol
 
Thanks; though how does re-rolling work? Does it reroll one ability, or all? If all, then 30K is a ripoff, considering a new piece of equipment with 4 slots costs roughly 10K.
