Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

No idea but I just saw it's still is the most wished for game on amazon.com. This is good news.

I just checked out the eShop and under Wii U downloads -> All Time, it's already passed Hyrule Warriors and is at #17. Considering the time Hyrule's had to sell (including a holiday), that's pretty danged impressive. That's in just barely over a week. This is for the U.S...

A while back someone posted a screenshot of it at +13.5

I assume it can go as high as it needs to

Yeah they stop naming the streaks & adding flag icons around 9.0.

I can't believe how many people got to Lvl. 20 so quickly. I've been playing the snot out of the game after work and just reached 19. And I've been doing fairly well each match, 800pts-1300pts depending on if it's a win or loss.

Went from B 80 to to B- 40. So pissed. The half dozen or so matches with people who knew what the fuck they were doing were great. Lost a few with one being by a single point and won a few (a couple being utter dominance).

Then a huge run of games with clueless.....(I'm trying so hard to not be too harsh so I'll stick with clueless) teamates. My (figurative) god! Snipers who cant snipe, rollers ignoring the zones to try (and fail) to rack up kills. My whole team with their backs to to the zone while it gets taken trying kill one person, I held the enemy sides zone in port mackerel for almost a minute and a half racking up 7 kills while my entire team failed to hold the other point..... I could go on.

Ugh.....so I will have a cup of tea, chill the fuck out (ITSONLYAGAMExHAPPYTHOUGHTS) and try again later to break into B+.

I don't know if it's me or the pairing of teams, but my games have been straight up awful. Lost so many matches today. Forever stuck in C+ rank.

This game.

In ranked battles, what action/process racks up extra seconds on the +time counter?
If the losing team has control while the time runs out, you go into over time until you cap the point or lose. If you mean the buffer time, everytime the enemy gains control after you've had it.

I'm the opposite. Splatoon is the first competitive game in a while that I feel I can relax with.

I'm both, I can play for an hour straight being concetrated yet relaxed but than there is the one that joins your room with his stupid brush antics...yesterday I was close to raging cause that guy just sat on top of the vehicle in Makirel( dont know what its called in english) which isnt that bad, but if your team forgets what turf war is about (painting the effing turf) and just runs straight to the enemies spawn you just sit there and think "how did those guys even achieved level 15"...

Yeah, buffer time. How is the amount of extra time calculated?

3 swim upgrades? Come on lol

I am so jealous right now. That's the exact roll I want. The last time I rolled, I didn't get ONE swim upgrade. :lol

And since I do one of these every night before I sign out, my current gear:

I actually have the Tentatek Fake Contacts and can reroll them at any time for the setup the JPN player was using, but since I like my Inklings to wear hats (caps and the beanies/bobbles mostly), I checked a few things out and got this bad boy that's apparently really really good for keeping my ink levels normalized. Not sure if it matches everything well enough but I like it, especially in the deeper of the two blues above.

Also, the first and last pictures were just fun to me.

Decided to buy the game. Played for about an hour to get to level 4 and tried out the single player mode. I think its fun and pretty easy to pick up and play. I did play around in the tutorial for about 5 minutes before jumping into online battles. The controls are easy to get use to, but I had to get the kid to squid travel down.

I got ranked number one on the team for most of the battles because its pretty easy to score points while everyone else is trying to ink each other. This game scratches that shooter itch in a way that's fresh.

40 hours of Splatoon, and still haven't hit the level cap!

I'm close though - halfway through level 19. Only the last two rows on the Squid Inkling (Squinkling!) challenges and I'm done with all of the amiibo stuff too.

As for ranked... well... let's just say my constant yo-yoing between C + and C regular has made my brain boil with the rage of a thousand sun gods. I so wish when you moved up a letter grade it would *lock* you in permanently - that would be way more balanced, given how huge of a factor luck plays in ranked winning streaks. I can't even tell you how many times I've lost 10 points just because a match dropped from a connection error. So frustrating.

That being said, this is by far my favorite game on the Wii U, and I already loved the system before Splatoon.

I guess you could say I'm a... loon for Splatoon.

Spla spla spla spla spla spla spla spla spla SPLATLOON

I have so many other games to play and books to read though this summer. Perhaps after level 20/finishing amiibo challenges/getting at least to B - rank I can shelve this for a few days until the next update hits.

I read that you unlock weapons by beating bosses in SP, but how? I've beaten the first four zones.

just picked up this game tonight. brought it over to my friends house and play with his kids and mine, they loved it! this is my first Wii U game that is fun and takes skill. my daughter likes it too. and to think I owe it all to Andre the black nerd, Katie Wilson and Lamarr Wilson.

You have to collect the secret file in each level and finish it while you still have it. Not sure exactly which levels have the weapon blueprints though (it's not all of them)
Boss levels. Mentioned in the very post you quoted.

Once you get the file just take it to Sheldon.

The blaster is a pretty hard counter to the roller so I'm trying to figure out how to approach it.
Usually by sneaking up on me. The only class I have trouble with are chargers and long range machine guns like splattershot pro. Generally if they're close to me, I can take them out.

Sneaking up on someone works no matter what weapon they have. I want to learn how to fight them head on 1v1

Is grimdeath a gaffer? The name sounds familiar
