I wasn't holding my position in B- with the roller, so for now I've switched to the custom blaster. Shooting around corners is delicious.

I got 109 YEAHS for my post about Splatoon. The peak of my Nintendo-related accomplishments.

Also it takes forever to level up. I just hit 15 and it takes 20k more experience to hit the next level. If you basically win every match to get 1000+ points, that is over 20 matches to go up a level. That's IF you win or go on a godlike inking spree every round. Plus when you do level up, the new weapons sap up almost all your money, so you gotta grind more to afford gear, and by the time you earn enough money for the gear you want, you leveled up again and have to buy expensive weapons. I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD THIS SWEATER.

Do I need to find scrolls to unlock items, or is completing the level enough? I only ask because I haven't been that diligent in looking for them and don't want to be missing out on unlocks.

Just had my third ranked battle. Enemy team captured the splat zone for 99 seconds.
We captured it with the last second remaining and managed to win the game.

That was amazing, I already thought we lost.

Game is really fun.

You really don't have to buy new weapons immediately, especially the expensive ones. Sticking to two or three you really like and focusing on gear that supports your playstyle is much more important tbh, and you can always try out weapons for free if a newly unlocked one tickles your fancy. I've been at 20 for a long time, playing predominantly ranked so my income is pretty high and still have like 10 unbought weapons in the store as I prioritize buying out the clothing stores each day and using Spyke's services to optimize my gear.

Inspired by this:

? :P
Bullshit, he stole my joke. I came up with it off the top of my head and he stole it HE STOLE IT. Check the time stamps, mine was first. I trusted you, Internet.

I guess I should do that, but I just have a collector's mentality. You never know which weapon clicks for you. I've already gone through maybe four different phases. I'm starting to get the three star gear in the shop so maybe I need to save my money.

*sigh* I caved

I told myself I wouldn't need Splatoon. I told myself that I don't like shooters. I told myself that $69.99 is too much for the lack of content.

But.........I picked this up on the weekend and I love this game. The campaign was really solid with a phenomenal final boss, the visuals are beyond charming, and the art style is just too cute. I played online a few times since finishing the story mode and was shocked at how well I did. Despite being level 1/2 I managed to be on the winning team each time so far contributing significantly to my team's wins :)

Amazing game, Nintendo

With a collector's mentality shouldn't you try to get your hands on every available piece of clothing considering those change daily while weapons stay in the shop forever?

Australian dollars?

and yeah the campaign is godlike tbh, wish there was more

Ah, well no Amiibos here so I guess I can might as just well wait until level 20 before thinking about buying new gear? I have three 2 star gears right now that I got from finishing the SP campaign.

You can start buying three stars gear way before level 20. I started finding them in shops when I was level 12-15.

Canadian :(

Our dollar has dropped, we used to be at parity with U.S. but our new games range from $64.99 to $79.99 now

I wonder if we'll get more single player DLC at some point after all the multiplayer stuff has rolled out by summer?

69.99 is that the collectors edition or something? This is the first game that's more expensive im the US than in Europe that I can remember.

Retail in the US it's 59.99 no? In Europe it's 42 euros

maybe Canada? they've got some currency issues going on iirc

The music cues are so ingrained that i never really need to look at the time to know when I need to hurry up.

I laughed aloud when I saw this Forkball! Great work.

And my girlfriend laughed when she saw this in the plaza.

I got 223 for this one. Most I've ever gotten on Miiverse.

It's amazing how the "hardcore" are taking over. It's great that everyone can still have fun, though.

Guess it's time again to shamelessly show off what I posted on Miiverse. I got 76 Yeahs for this

And I've gotten 229 Yeahs for this second one.

We're allowed to pimp our Miiverse posts? I'm actually pretty proud of it because I'm pretty bad at art.

I think I saw this in my plaza too!

You guys know anything about capture cards or know where to start looking? Kind of want to record Splatoon gameplay but I'm not sure what I need.

I think only the boss ones actually matter for unlocks. Be careful with those though,
as one of them is actually hidden
.

Yup, Canada

It really stung knowing this game was a budget release I believe in Europe, and $59.99 in the U.S. meanwhile up North we had to pay $69.99 for just the regular edition

Forget about the amiibos, the game was expensive enough on it's own tbh

Perhaps it's because this is my first serious WiiU online game, but it seems strange that my Mii ID is being used in game rather than my Nintendo ID. Anyway to swap these? I was tipped off when I saw a team mate called "Dads Mii"
