You have to be pretty active in this game as a charger if there aren't insane choke points like the Mall has. Otherwise it's inevitable that someone will sneak past you.

Chargers have it hard enough as it is on most maps, the last thing they need is a big "Please run away, I'm going to shoot you now :)" sign.

Plenty of chargers have still managed to hit me as I try to escape; honestly without the lasers the charger weapons would be overpowered
 
Stall, not kill.

It is possible to die as a Kraken through the magic of severe lag though.

How do you do it with a roller?

Extremely op. They also hit you in ink, there is a big X showing you are there on your cursor.

This game would suck hard if there was no laser. I played some snipers from japan and they kept me out constantly. Was so hard to even get close. They were so quick.
 
Why would you ever walk as a roller?

I mean you would a little but you should be roller every chance you get. Seems like a worthless perk for a roller.

Maybe your jump attack range increases since you do it in human form? I dont know.

Have you played Ranked as Roller, being able to run away while people are shooting at you and surviving is paramount.
When you get shot at the ground below you is turned to opposition color - jumping and running is your best bet to run away. Thus having a jump perk is more important than the Squid Speed perk, because as a roller you'd be jumping and running into opposition ink quite often.

Also against good players you might want to flank them without inking, cause you would assume they would be watching the mini map.

Having a few extra movement speed perks so you can get away to your ink or flank is pretty important. The amount of times Ink Resistance Up and running away has saved me in this game is quite a lot.

It just slows the Kraken, until hopefully it's duration is over at the very least you have stalled it so your team mates don't get splatted.
Your best bet with Kraken depends on whether you are in your own ink or in enemy territory. If you are in your own ink and have Ninja Squid - run away! If you are in enemy ink or don't have Ninja Squid fire at the Kraken and at least slow it down to help your teammates.

Laser is fine, chargers don't have it hard on any maps at all imo.

Yeah the laser sight is incredibly important.

Anything that can instakill you from so far away needs a tell.

Sniping is usually the most BS form of shooting in competitive games because there's no counter to just being shot from half way across the map from something that gave you no warning. Good multiplayer gameplay comes from engaging with your opponent and sniping often negates that.

I do think chargers could use a bit of a buff. Maybe make the base charger go further. Maybe make the e-liter charge faster. But don't get rid of the on thing that makes them engaging for both the player and the opponent.

And the aerospray can do the same? hmmmmm.... might have to try that.

Once we got violet_0 stuck this way, but it was with two aerosprays and me as a roller,he was surrounded the whole time, like a trophy fish, haven't recorded that moment though, but it's the best splat to this day.

Agreed. Smashley would be OP without the laser. Don't know who you guys are talking to but I like the laser.

What? I can already barely escape a charger as it is. If this were implemented I wouldn't be escaping, I'd just be dying.

Those moments when you know you're about to be splat but turn into a squid and shamelessly jump around hoping for the best.

Yup. Just start mashing X and ZR. Its like a little squid dance.
 
I wish tiny little spots of enemy ink didnt have the same effect as you standing in their territory. Makes it frustrating when youre trying to swim away from a kraken and a little drop of blue ink spells your doom
 
Is it me or do u ppl think this weapon is too OP?

It's my go to for leveling up clothing abilities quickly, The mines are not all that useful, but inkstrike is solid. It's great for moving paint quikly, but falls behind in offensive areas.

It's amazing at pure inking. HOWEVER, its kill power is total ass. That's why you gotta use the mines smartly and retreat more often than not. It's really best when you have support behind you so you can just worry about spreading ink and getting the inkstrikes.
 
I hate the kraken with passion. Is the only thing you can't do anything against if it's activated right near you.

If it's activated right near you, yeah, I guess. But if it isn't, then it's pretty underpowered honestly.

And if a roller is running at you with glowing hair, well, you know what to do.
