Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

3 entrances to the center, all of which are narrow alleyways. Makes the center too easily defend-able. Moving around the homebase isn't much fun either thanks to all the walls being non-inkable and weird grate positioning.

Skatepark is the best map in the game, people will realize this soon enough.
This is why whenever underpass showed up in ranked I didn't play it and I maxed out my rank pretty quick, long range weapons can easily hold the zone down once they got position

Why do we have to have a perk in order to make up for a disconnected player? It should already give it to us since it's uneven...

Trying to join. I keep getting "Failed to connect partner's device", and it's not because the session is full =(

edit: in :)

Lol. Should've stuck with the squelcher. My tactic of dash in thru the lines and take attention off my team mates works well, but I can't lay down a big enough runway with the .52 gal. made some good holes and spawn points here and there by timing it right and generally got a ton of ink and seekers out, but man my death count. One was 0 and 7 doing the suicide punch.

Needs me some range.

I'd like to see some more platform-y maps. It would be nice to be able to use some of the more creative platforming obstacles from single-player during a multi match.

This probably wouldn't work for ranked but I only play turf wars anyway. I think it'd be pretty dope.

You must love 1 sided matches.
The vast majority of the time a team genuinely controls the center I've seen them do the fucking stupid thing and try to push into the enemy base. Then someone from the other team sneaks into the center and beyond and starts painting over everything and then things sort of just turn into chaos.

So it's a good map as long as nobody knows how to play? That's what I call a bad map.

Yeah one game on skatepark I killed you like 4 or 5 times, think it was that game lol

This is why I sit in middle, game rewards defensive play

Anyway I'm playing a little better than I was yesterday but not by much. Had a neat little moment where a Japanese player was holding off two of the other team and I swam up his ink trail and took them both out and we booyah'd each other.

We still lost though

Yeah. We couldn't make a dent on the middle so I went after the base and to try and distract folks. I tried shooting seeker paths up the tower several times to try and get us safe but folks clung to the walls guarding the top for their buddy if he fell. Pretty much at that point I went for chaos because we didn't have the range to break the hold you guys had.

Like I said...works better with squelcher. You need a runway if you are gonna try and pull a runner.

Okay so i just played with someone who ripped with a squelcher. 1200 points. If your good with the snipers i'm convinced that you're probably better than the majority of players. Weapon so hard to use imo

Guys, please let me know if I'm teleporting. Experienced some lag this match and I'm suspecting it's on my end; not really trusting my internet connection tonight.

So has anyone figured out how Splatfest works for regions that don't have it? Will Japan this weekend be completely cut off from playing with the other regions and can only play with it other on Splatfest maps?

Honestly the night maps look so cool that I wish they were a weekly thing.

Isn't it a new entry in the list of lobby choices, so they could just continue choosing the same "worldwide turf war" if they want?

And I really hope splatfests get to the point where they're weekly, otherwise the Super Sea Snail mechanic seems incredibly marginalized and useless. What good is it, getting just one of those once a month if you happen to be lucky? Might as well raise the 30k on your own.

The only reason bubble is in the game so that every once in a blue moon you can use the knockback to send them flying off the stage.

I don't get the hate for Underpass, I enjoy it.
It's one of the least visually interesting to me.

It's probably one of the best maps for killer wail supers though, especially with the hill entry.

What weapon has the higheat knockback anyway? I assume it corresponds to damamge, but melee attacks don't push it that much (not to mention you'll be dead).

I would have to imagine it's a type of bomb or super. Inkstrike maybe?

All of my deaths in the last match came from dudes bubbleshielding in my face. Annoying as hell.

You have to be watching for their aura firing off. And remember the weapons (Krak-on, Tentaket, and the bubble weapons) with strong fire-fight utility specials. I always duck out and run when I see them start glowing/burning, because almost always a bubble user will pop it immediately (especially in a fire fight). Just duck and run/hide as if it were a Kraken.

Inkzooka is the hardest to run from and, honestly, the scariest of the specials because of what it can do. You can wipe out an entire team in four shots with Charger-like range... can't do that with any of the other specials.

sigh*

I have a problem

I have to unplug the one HDMI outlet this monitor has when I want to switch from PS4 to WiiU

ahh damn Splatoon I am level 20 but I must see this new gun

So long Gewnt player, so long GTA, I'm a kid now
