Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Those suction bomb rushes are so fucking useful to have on your team. One guy letting of a well timed bomb rush turned the tide of a game in our favor

I knew I wanted this super from soooooo long ago. The amount of ground you can cover is absurd and it leads to really silly defensive plays like leaving a line of ink to lure someone in then lacing every back step you make with them to catch them sneaking in on you.

I joined a lobby, and it was all Japanese players. I knew I was screwed. However, I beat them in the 2nd match in Arowana Mall. That seems to be my stage.

Wait, you weren't playing earlier with the players Starchaser, WECKMaster, Digital, and Chris, were you?

To the troll who decided to keep painting the bottom part of Saltspray over and over and over (nobody repainted it) and made me lose what was needed to finally hit B, you don't deserve to be a squid.

Hooooooooooooooly shit. We were losing and we had control and we nearly lost it at the veeery last second (the we lost control message popped up just as overtime hit), and we come back to win 11-12. Wow.

That feeling when you get into overtime and take back the match. I just finished a match before the stage change where we had 40 seconds left and some of those penalty seconds. The other team had 3 seconds and 25 penalty seconds left. We went into overtime and we won.

So how's everyone's stats in splatoon?

Well here's mine so far.

I'm only looking for this skill in shoes

My skill is complete once I find it.

That feeling when you need to make a big final push to save the round in Saltspray Rig and you fall into the water trying to jump to the center >:(

Anyways, I started today at B+ 40 pts, 3 hours later I'm B+ 42 lol. At least I'm raking in the dough.

B rank yes!!!

Lord what a night. Couldn't make anything happen with my usual loadouts. Had to revert to Tentatek Splattershot to get anything done. Bounced wildly throughout the B- range all night but I made it!

Quick question does anyone know why one random corner in Inkopolis plays different music than the standard music? I checked and it doesn't do this in any other area of Inkopolis. I noticed when standing in front of a jellyfish on the bench in between the arcade machine and the amiibo station. Perhaps it's an area that will eventually open up featuring a new mode or shops. Or I'm reading too far into it.

There are speakers on light poles that pump in music, actually. Just for fun. If you look up a bit you should be able to see the speakers.

Three areas do it. Look around for speakers on poles or the walls.

Hey does anyone wanna tell me why I'd go back and forth between earning 8 and 10 rank points per victory? I thought it might be vibe related but it looks like not. It went up and down throughout my B- progress.

Yess, me too. Started out at C+ 30, and after some disconnects got on a streak. Got to B- 72, then bounced back and forth. Finally, 4~5 hours later, I get to B.

I can sleep happy tonight.

I'm in love with the Splash-o-matic (though I don't know if that's the name). It just feels right, even if I suck with Bomb Rush. At least it scares people away. My set is a Shirt with Ninja Squid, a Hat with Special Length and Shoes with Ink Resistance. I want to change the hat but I ordered a 3-perk Ninja Squid shirt so I think I'm set for now.

Ah thanks for the replies. I feel dumb for not noticing that.

For Splatoon's sequel, I hope we have a much larger hub world at least Isle Delfino sized.

I am certainly not willing to go back to a twin stick shooter on consoles after this game. Keyboard/Mouse is still superior, but Gyro controls have spoiled me. Took some time to get used to it, but there is no going back.

Sniper tips please. The weapon obviously has its strengths (one hit full charge splats) but as a whole seems far less versatile and useful than more or less everything else. Maybe a strong support player with sniper is useful? Otherwise the charge up times means you're not really covering anywhere near as much space with paint or closing in on the enemy. The one hit splats are great but otherwise it just seems kinda redundant.

Man Splatoon is so much fun. In a genre like shooters that are a dime a dozen, I'm really glad Nintendo opted for a unique, memorable one rather than a bland, soulless one.

My biggest issue is I don't think I use my sub weapons nearly as much as I should. Almost all the special weapons imo are pretty good, what would you guys say is your favorite sub weapon?

Right now I'm digging the sprinkler, but I've only seen it on a roller I believe.

Started this up today for the first time. Now that I've got the roller, I'm ready to jump on with GAF. Who do I add to join? My id is Enacra.

Seeker for sure.

Best sub.

Finally learning to use the map to get the drop on the other team and take them out to win the ranked games and turf war. Feels good.

Maybe use it more as a defensive weapon? I've seen a couple of really nice places to snipe from on the maps, it'd be really easy to take a sniper up there and stop the other side from encroaching onto your territory.

GGs, Heng. Brush is pretty much a no-no vs Blaster.

Chargers make great roads very fast and pretty much rival the Inkbrush at how fast they can make them. They can be used to defend a key position. You can do a mixture of a semi-charged shot and an uncharged shot to splat an enemy. Pretty much all of them, with the exception of the Kelp Charger, have bombs. Splat Bombs are excellent when you're attempting to make a quick road into the enemy base and you have an assailant behind you. This means that you can drop a bomb and force the person away from you or risk themselves getting splatted trying to splat you. Burst Bombs are great at short and midrange combat, especially since they are only part of the slow E-Liter. The Burst Bombs complement the E-Liter nicely. Bombs of any kind are also great at forcing an enemy higher than you to move from their post. Good chargers can adapt to attack at all ranges. You don't always want to be stationary, which means that you also have to know how to attack while on the move.

What exactly is it that you want to know? Or did that cover it?

I love my bombs. =D
