Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Any thoughts on Rapid Blaster? It seems to have some massive ink coverage. I haven't bought it yet, but it seems interesting. Especially for ranked zone stuff and potentially kelp dome from above for fast recaptures.

I don't think they had this game in mind when they made the gamepad

It's so big and light, I'm gonna break it half in a fit of nerd rage

Just saw shahadan in my ranked lobby. :O

Rah crap, didn't notice there was someone I know from gaf :p
IT's been hard to find players for a few matches now, I guess chances are higher

I was Dan, on the winning team, Blackbelly Skatepark match.

Finally did a bit more splat zones, up to Rank C now. As opposed to turf war I've lucked out a bit on teammates for most of my games in splat zones; everyone is completely on point and in sync with the main goal

Wow, the laggers really do jave an advantage. A dude named Jacob would get me several seconds after I had left the area. One time he splatted me at least four seconds after I splatted him first. It was only him, no one else. He also seems to make the map take forever to load.

holy fuck shehadan that match was infuriating. your lag dual squelcher and that fucking sniper had that point on lockdown, jesus christ

My teammates apparently refused to paint the zone even when I had just killed three of you. I was yelling at my TV.

You guys were all dead but one but you were still winning points!

had a couple of great games with vecks, geg, and walkman (and whoever else joined in if they did)

think I'm done for the day though

wow, I think that was my most aggressive play style yet since I've started playing, I've never been the type to actually invade near the enemy base but the bubbler made me a bit more confident. And my team mates were great at following me. They got my back, I got theirs.

I'm sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I have a question about the amount of bandwidth Splatoon uses. I only got the game the other day and when I played online my roommate complained that the internet went really slow for him, which doesn't happen with most other games. That isn't too bad (I can just play when he isn't around), but this got me thinking that because the game is constantly uploading/downloading the ink position data in addition to all of the player data, a single game of Splatoon must be using a huge amount of bandwidth.

We're on a fairly limited broadband plan and I just wanted to know if anyone had any data on roughly how many MB a standard match of splatoon uses (combined upload/download). If it's too high I may stop playing until we can afford a better internet deal. Thanks to anyone who has any information on this!

Walkman, it's been great playing with you. You're great with the Dual Squelcher. I personally think it's one of the best weapons to kill people quickly.

I've been playing the friendly turf wars all day while wearing the splatfest tshirt and voting, but I don't see anything about ranks or points or sea shells. Am I missing something?

Splat fest Japan is ongoing as I'm still playing it - after a full day (briefly paused to watch Zoolander) I got to Queen Inkling level (えいえんのパンガール) knackered!!

Rank 17 now, 44811G and I have all my amiibo challenges to do tomorrow; there goes my entire weekend!

Splatfest hasn't started yet. This is only to decide teams so far I think.

i can't fucking deal with this shit, laggy .96 gals kill you in two hits from fucking twenty years in the past or some shit, can't hit with the inkzooker for shit, i hate everything

fuck you Phil! FUCK YOU

Where is the list of common abilities per clothing brand? I can't find it and it's not in the OP or the first page and I've tried googling and can't find it.

The official one I bought to save me from slitting my wrists while I'm stuck at a con. Unlike their shitty Pokemon guides, this one is really technical. Here's a list (5x chance compared to other abilities):

Firefin: Ink Saver (Sub)
Forge: Special Duration Up
Inkline: Defense Up
Krak-On: Swim Speed Up
Rockenburg: Run Speed Up
Skalop: Quick Respawn
Splash Mob: Ink Saver (Main)
SquidForce: Damage Up
Takoroka: Special Charge Up
Tentatek: Ink Recovery Up
Zekko: Special Saver
Zink: Quick Super Jump

The brands I didn't list have no preference. There are also uncommon abilities for the above brands but who cares about those? That and I need to rush to the last program I'm seeing today at this Dr.Who con, then we're going home.

.

Wow. You guys in the USA really do have terrible internet. I can't wait until Japan Splatfest is over. I'm still winning but it's getting really tiring to die around corners.

Thanks, glad your enjoying it,trust me when you play with a full gaf room it gets way more intense than this, and here's a list of the gaffers that we played with so you can add them

Horizon, Geg, Ragnorokx, jorgejjvr, tingly, Heath splatacus and Vecks that's just off the top of my head so you can just add them through your friends list users played with to broaden your friends list

Probably gonna play more after the map change

Last matches have been way too laggy for my tastes. Especially when lag is not to my advantage

god damn shahadan that was intense. timer down to 1, then your timer down to 6, and then just madness, pure madness

Yeah I really thought we were gonna win when we hit 6

For fucking crying out loud a disconnect on the GAME screen when you WIN counts as a loss? Bullshit happened twice in a row. I'm gonna fall back to B- soon, am I not?

And another disconnect drops me to B-. Why the hell can I sometimes play string of 20~30 matches but when it counts I keep getting disconnected.

Really, a DC on a game screen or a loss when a teammate DC's shouldn't cause the full -10 penalty.

If you got more than one disconnect on ranked you should just stop for the time being it's not worth the loss in points, and the -10 points is the only way to insure that people don't just turn their wifi off when they are about to lose or have already lost and you can see that your points don't go up until the end of the results so it hasn't registered a win yet, it sucks when you really disconnect but it beats the alternative of no one ever losing points

I'm in America and I agree. More lag and disconnects today than I've ever had
