Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

I think I've seen the next level of roller lag. Killed a roller in Arowana mall. Leave to go cover ground and splat elsewhere. Then I randomly explode and it tells me the roller who is now freshly respawned killed me from across the map lol.

I guess that worked out real well for me since I got to live much longer.
 
I have to admit I went 0-7 yesterday with the aerospray because I had some vendetta with an ultra good charger player and I couldn't stop trying to beat him instead of just painting, made up for it the next game and went 10-2 though lol

Got to remember what that the target audience starts from 7 (at here in UK), and not everyone has the same level of skill or attention span.

I often play this with my 7yr old daughter who loves multiplayer, but at that age she isn't the most skillful nor necessarily concentrates on splatting people all the time. :)

Feels great to be 3 seconds away from winning the last game to A-, only to lose it and proceed to drop down to where i started today. Such bummer. :l

what I can tell you is that the game requires a rather good connection to run smoothly. When I play TF2 or LoL with people from the US I'd get a ping of around 120 which, ya know, isn't exactly good but still decently playable. In Splatoon I experience a constant delay of every action that gets slightly better or worse depending on the other players, I strongly suspect my ping is probably way above 200 in this game

Against all odds I've made it to A Rank.
I probably could have coasted to A+ if I had stayed in the lobby I was in. I was easily the best person in the room.. which usually doesn't happen.

Japan is going to squid slap me back to A-, or even B+ when they get back.
I just know it.

Gonna enjoy it while I can.

Wish Nintendo could exclude those DC, 4 vs 3, 1 vs 4 battles in the final results. There's some big issue that many teambread having 1 vs 4 battle against teamrice.

I've died to sprinklers many times as a roller. It's usually because I try to take it out in style and it backfires on me because I got too close, other times it's well placed and I can't aim if my life depended on it.
 
Yesterday a Gold Dynamo user who blew up an Inkstrike in my face tea-bagged me. Then I killed him 3 times and returned the favor. What is this game doing to me? XD

I believe it calculates a mean average for each team? So it doesn't really matter if one outnumbers the other 4 to 1, just the average skill of each player.

That's not the case here, total matches teamrice played will be the same with teambread, no need to average anything.

It's too bad the Booyah (or, Nice, etc) command can only be heard by your own team.
I'd love to use that to rub it in some peoples squidding faces.

I used to spam that sometimes until my friend told me I was just standing there. He knew what I was doing, though. Haha.

Just imagine this game had gestures like DS/Bloodborne or the Wii U had a messaging system with randoms. The hate mail would be unreal.

They wouldnt need to. They are basing it on percentage of games won, and each game was rice team vs bread team. The rice team having more people just means that those people were idle waiting for matches. HOWEVER, the wiki says that the splatfest winner is determined by both the winrate and the popularity of each team, with the winrate worth double. Given this, the winrate of bread needs to be >54% for them to win. IMO it should be 3x weight.

Winning or losing by 0.1% is going mental.
I really love the music in Splatoon. It just add so much more to this game.
What a great gem it is.

I only need the squid and girl inkling amiibo, already got the boy one.
 
Who can I add to help join gaf games? The spreadsheet has way too many people and I don't know who's active and who isn't.
 
I don't particularly care about winning or losing in Turf War and definitely don't care if someone on my team is scoring very low or has a low KDR in matches. I just hope those people (likely to be kids) are having fun playing because that is the most important thing overall.
