Second question, turf wars, match starts, only 3 players on my room, we loose...only to see the one that disconnected got 1 kill and 1 death but no points though....how come?

When it starts with 3, that just means that person disconnected right at the start.

And when someone gets disconnected, they show up as 0 points, even if they got points in the match. Same with the winners side, the disconnected on the winners team will show up as 300 points.

Disconnected players get no points (even if their team won and get 300p bonus, it still won't be added to them), but it doesn't mean what they contributed/painted before they got removed will be gone. But you'll naturally get out-painted with fewer members especially if it happens at an earlier part of the match.

As for ranked battles, one less member is still doable. I managed to win a 2v4 match once. Just wish that the other team is less skilled or less coordinated than yours

I rarely see anyone use jet squelchers besides me. I think either those or the rapid blasters get the least amount of use.

I know its still possible to win (had a ranked match 1(me)vs2 once and won...but on Skatepark its really really hard to get the upperhand with one squid down...

Anyway I got up from bottom of the C to C+ level and I might crack B- if I dont get distracted by Yoshis Woolly World

Some 40 hours in (almost all online), I decided to beat that last world. Holy cow, what an end boss! The single player is actually a bit underrated. It's good fun for being "slapped together." The only slightly annoying thing is *finding* the levels and the certainty that you won't play them in order.

I'm not sure how much I really want to grab each scroll I missed (or do the special variants with my Inkling Dude amiibo) but there's enough 1-player content here.

I also got on a bit of a win streak in ranked, finally. Up to a B-. Splattershot Jr. for turf wars, Squelcher for ranked... that's my combo. Still powering up different outfits in case some abilities come in handier for future modes.

I actually really liked trying to find the levels in the hub. It was unexpected and it reminded me a bit of Captain Toad.

So I'm not really good with rollers... but I just kept 2-3 guys busy on one of the side area of Skatepark for about a minute and a half while they'd die and come back to try to kill me. I ended the match 13-1. Pretty happy with that.
