sweet graphics but this series just doesn't do it for me anymore. the first one was good because of the new implementation.

i love how they did the control and the camera perspective, which just took a huge fucking shit all over the metal gear solid series and its antiquated camera and control and stupid ass mini map showing enemies.

i loved the graphics, which again really pushed the boundaries. the lighting effects hands down kicked the shit out of anything.

but that could only carry the game so far. the gameplay got old. it's just try and retry and retry until you get it right and the story is shit. the characters suck and i get no "feeling" of any emotion from the game. i just didn't care about anything or anyone, something that Metal Gear Solid series does well.

now with MGS 3 clearly that series came back and kicked the ever loving shit out of the SC series. even though it still has the vastly inferior camera perspective. but they did rid the mini map thank goodness and now as always, but even more so now, the story just rocks and evokes a ton of emotion in me, makes me so interested and care.

i just wish we could combine the two. keep the graphics and camera perspective in spinter cell series and everything else in metal gear solid series.

i have no faith that this new splinter cell will change my opinion on anything as it's clear from the pics that they are still up to their same old tricks... make insane graphics, make impecable control and camera perspective made by the gods themselves, but then fuck up the gameplay and story. UNSOLD

PREACH IT!

The MGS camera KILLS the game for me.

I'd rather avoid anything all together with the MGS series and stick with Splinter Cell.

Looks great and should be the best stealth game on this generation of consoles with ease.

The game design itself certainly shouldn't be considered the best unless the series has received a total overhaul...

Youd think an enemy base could afford some extra light bulbs. Id like to see Sam infiltrate an enemy base in St. Petersburg during the summer. Lets see how he would do then
:lol

The picks do look good though, if it gets good reviews and it changes the stuff i didnt like about previous SC's ill give it a shot.

I think these are PC screenshots though.. no? The floors definitely look like they were textured with displacement mapping and not bumpmapping.. and I think SM1.3 does not have displacement mapping.

Looks awful. The lighting and shadows are alright but the lack of texture variety and ultra low polygon environments give it an extremely sterile look.

I don't care about this series until you can save anywhere, like in the PC versions. There's no excuse for a checkpoint system in the Xbox release, and it's especially painful because the gameplay is so trial-and-error oriented.

Found it.

For the first time, players will be able to save anywhere they want, rather than only at specified checkpoints along the way, giving the game more of a PC title feel.

:)

Not really. The series is fine.

Only on this forum can this be said. haha.
