Spoiler leak on Sipder man set

I liked Shockwave when I would read the comics and play the classic Spider-Man games, so I'm glad they went with him.

I'm not sold on the costume yet, but I'm not going to obsess over it either way.

I wonder is Vulture's tech will somehow tie in with Falcon's. Either as someone trying to recreate it or as a "version 2.0" made by the government. I hope the explanation won't just be "Oops, Tony tried to make a better suit for Falcon and someone else got their hands on it first".

Vulture is really misnomer. The harness is actually antigravity, the wings just provide a little steering and style

Is that how it is in the comics? I had no idea his stuff was so advanced. I thought it was just another generic wingsuit.

Still, that doesn't preclude the movie writers from changing it up.

I think it's just the lighting. You can see that his vest is more of a brown here:

Ah, I see. That looks much better. Thanks for the confirmation.

I was wrong it was electronic magnetic.

Tony is actually Peter's father.

Lol, his costume looks even more shit from this angle. I hope they don't change it too much from this in post.

I think "read" is the keyword here. Shocker was all over the games and cartoons, he's like the ideal C-tier villain you'd fight halfway through a Spidey game. Anyone who was exposed to a lot of those would remember him fairly well.

I mean shit, he certainly leaves a better impression than Electro...

For me, Electro was always cooler than Shocker, based on his appearence on the Spiderman ride at Universal Studios and him being the main villain in Spiderman 2: Enter Electro.

Than the Ultimate Universe came and made him worse, then Amazing Spiderman 2 and Jaime Foxx ruined Electro for me completely.

So yeah, Shocker's way cooler now.

I still maintain that Michael Keaton would make a better Norman Osborn than Vulture.

Maybe. Maybe.

But in a way it's also meta as fuck. Man plays Batman, then plays in Birdman about an actor who used to be famous for playing, Birdman- is now playing a villain who is a Birdman. XD

I'm guessing OsCorp, the Smythes, Doc Ock, Miles Warren, and the *Homecoming spoiler*
Tinkerer (Stark Tech)
will be introduced as independent sources of new fancy gadgets and enhanced individuals arriving in NYC over the course of his new movie series.

Edit: Vulture killed the fake Mary Parker! That has to count for something.

This is a bit kneejerk based on this and how Spiderman was in Civil War but I feel like Homecoming is gonna be Spiderman as fuck.

fuck yes shocker and they actually stayed true to his costume thats all i wanted now if you could do the same for mysterio i would be in heaven

And I don't see a problem with it. It feels like Marvel got creative control back, and are just going balls out from the get go.

Only thing that can top Shocker is if Mysterio is the villain in the second film.

Everyone freaking out about the possibility that Tony Stark is behind all of the tech in Spider-Man: Homecoming reminds me of when everyone was freaking out that Lagos from the beginning of Captain America: Civil War was going to be Wakanda

Peter becoming spider-man was all an elaborate plot by Tony Stark to get uncle Ben killed so he could swoop in and become uncle Tony

I love Spiderman to the point where I liked ASM2 which is apparently the worst movie ever. Problems? oh hell yeah, but I liked a lot of it. The script let some of it down but Marc Webb did a great job, as did the actors so it got a pass for me. The first two Raimi movies were great to me too. SM2 is still probably my favorite comic film period.

Homecoming so far based on small things just feels, again, Spiderman as fuck. This costume is Saturday morning cartoon stuff and it's perfect.

The costume doesn't look that great (although they never do in these shots), although I dunno exactly how you'd realize it for live action in the first place. It's one of those weird costumes that works on paper but when you try to imagine what it would look like in real life... what are those lines? Is he wearing some giant diamond-quilted costume?

The body formed oven mitt costume is amazing. It is silly looking, but that is part of its charm and awesomeness.

The point of his costume is to absorb the vibration of his gauntlets. So yes, he's wearing a quilted costume.

Waw. I know he's a classic villain but he really is a terrible foil. Skinny, bald, cancer-ridden old guy in a green bird suit. You have to feel a bit sorry for him :(

Surprised they didn't go with Kraven or the Chameleon.

I always imagine Kraven being used alongside another baddy - Venom or Carnage, for example.

Throughout the movie, Kraven shows up trying to take down Spider-Man. In the end, they team up to bring down the big bad. And as a final scene, they have a friendly competition.

My boy Kraven deserves a side character role in a movie before they do Kraken's Last Hunt as the 4th or 5th movie in this series.

Next movie needs to introduce Osborn of course.
