*SPOILERS* The Walking Dead TV show, leaks, and comic book SPOILER discussion thread

I'm glad Carol lived.

I'm so enraged that they really went with the cliffhanger. I've defended some dumb shit but this is really dumb.

The OT thread is having some fun reactions. And here in the spoiler thread we don't know anything because it might be a huge swerve from the comic. Twitter seems more okay with it, people just wondering who it was.

is a shame because this was probably one of the best episode of the show
and at the same time one of the worst

Cliffhanger happened apparently. Not surprised. AMC knows how to pull in the crowds. I bet Season 7 will be the most watched season and the first episode won't even show who got killed.
Except for the fact that they've already filmed the scene already.
It just wasn't shown in its entirety.

Looking forward to scoping out the OT for reactions in a bit.

I had hoped that the 93 minute runtime would mean there would be an extra scene, but no such luck.

AMC is so bad at leaks. Between the woman in Flight 462 being shown on a promo for FTWD season 2, JDM's casting, the poorly-handled "dead Glenn" situation/photo leaks and the leaked finale summary/audio, we're going to find out who's still alive in a month or two.

Curious about the execution in their determination to neuter the episode/Negan's intro.

Is it just a cut to black as the bat comes down or some shit?

The bat comes down, hits the person as you're seeing their POV. Vision blurs, blood falls down. I think there's one or two more hits before it goes to black. (With audio still going for a bit.)

Well, I suppose it makes sense that they didn't actually shoot the death all along. No way they could have kept the death a secret otherwise. I guess it really is going to be a #whogotlucilled (#whoisit) summer. Vote by texting to *267688 (COPOUT).

All I'm seeing is hate. Seems Sepinwall is done with the show.

I'd be more interested in seeing the reaction of someone who had zero expectations. No comic knowledge, never accidentally saw that Negan mollywhopped Glen in the comics, like zero prior knowledge of any of this. I think expectations kinda colored this one for a lot of people. I know folks that haven't read the comic but knew about Negan. .

I still need to watch the episode. Maybe I'll finally do that lol

I can't even say, nope, I won't watch the show any more because, argh, I still will. Why, self. (I'd be lying if I wasn't looking forward to more Jesus, Ezekiel, and All Out War.) The finale hasn't aired here yet, so I've been cleaning to distract myself - I don't think I've ever been so stressed over a television show in my life! I've had public speeches I've been less stressed for! For all of that anxiety and anticipation to disappear in just a single moment... man, they could have really had something special if they'd followed through. I wonder if it's AMC's decision or Gimple's?

If they go through all of this and it still ends up being Glenn anyway - god, what a waste of time.

It's Abraham man would negan be concerned with a whimper Glenn , crying Eugene , destroyed Daryl hell no he's going after Abraham that alpha male that stood to him

He's gonna go in day 1 of filming S7. Kirkman tells him its him. "Shouldn't have tweeted that"
wut? Wouldn't this mean they didn't film the rest of the scene yet? That doesn't make sense from a production standpoint. Unless Riggs is just taking the piss.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Abraham kinda gives no fucks, you can't neuter a guy like that. Want Rick to act right? Threaten Carl. Abraham is going to bark like a wild dog even if you put a gun in his mouth, so logically he would be the best choice for someone like Negan.

Lauren Cohan said the same thing on Talking Dead. That's why the cast was so upset with the finale. They don't know who got fired yet.

Bullshit. Lincoln was sick/upset/couldn't sleep. It's hilarious to see the cast change their stories based on what the AMC narrative is week to week.

Yeah, he didn't know which one of his friends was leaving the show. They were actually upset about the cliffhanger the same way we are. It all makes sense now.

If it's Glenn, Maggie won't lose the baby but they'll want to go to Hilltop now/soon.

If it's Abraham and not Glenn, Maggie will lose this baby and they'll go to Hilltop so she can get pregnant again.

Could've been because he didn't know who was leaving. I mean the whole cast seems to treat each other like family so it would be pretty upsetting to think one of the people you have worked closely with for the last few years might be gone.

Especially if he reads the comics

That whole episode was one big cocktease. Between the manipulative score (I love McCreary's work, but that was some Lost-tier manipulative orchestral music that didn't feel earned like, say, "Pretty Much Dead Already"), the little character red flags (Abraham propositioning Sasha, Eugene giving Rick the bullet schematics) and the cliffhanger, that felt like such wasted potential.

I just don't believe they bring everyone back to recreate that scene in May. It was filmed. AMC fucked it up and demanded a cliffhanger.

Besides being extremely disappointed in the finale, JDM killed it as Negan.

I'm just so sad that they didn't show it. The finale was extremely weak and those last 10 minutes were just so tense and AMC fucked it up.
