Spring 2011 finals thread of last minute term papers

It's that time of the season folks.

After a hell of a semester last fall, spring is shaping up good to me. I already have 3 guaranteed A's. My two classes with finals are currently A's, but anything can happen of course.

My only two finals this semester after finishing my big three projects are:

Statics (40%)
Genetic Determinism and Free Will (10%)

Both are this Friday. After that, I will have completed my undergraduate in EE and Math. I start my job at Texas Instruments in late June. Pretty stoked. How is the rest of GAF faring between studying and NBA playoff basketball?
 
Got a stats final in 6 hours, should be fun. Then Managerial Accounting later in the day.

Predicting that I'll pass all my classes this semester, but with poor grades. Could still get better than a B in micro econ theory but most of the others will be in the C range. Really fucked up
 
Last final in 6 hours. Two As already confirmed. Deeply lacking motivation even though I need at least a B here.

What year are you? I'm looking to graduate with a measly 4.42 GPA.

Not to stealth brag, but I may very well have my first 4.0 semester. Taking 3 grad classes last semester along with 2 undergraduate classes fucked my GPA for the semester. :( Was shooting for a 3.75 and ended up with a 3.3
 
My finals will be nasty, I had to take 2 more (3-4 credit) courses than most of the students, but the good thing is that I don't need high grades in the finals as I had a pretty good performance in the first two exams of most of the courses.
 
I was done with my exams about a month ago. I still have nightmares about missing dates and such though. Right now i'm doing the project work and then i'm done with my b.sc!

Good times! I have an A in calc and philosophy, and I'll probably end up with A-'s in chem and bio.

It's not quite exams yet, but I'm currently working on two 2,500 word essays with another 2,000 worder due in the same week (first week of exams). I hope my only exam isn't in that week because I might probably die if it's the case.
 
Ah I am so glad I found this thread to vent in! This semester has been really rough for me and recently I got in a bike accident and have a very deep bruise on my thigh and starting yesterday I cant breath out of my nose and have a sore throat. That mixed with me feeling suffocated by my small room that I share with someone has led me to just feel super beat and I have never procrastinated this much in my life =[. So lets see...

I have a Latin final tomorrow that I have not started to study for a Calc final tuesday I know nothing about and three pretty huge papers...ahhh i just want this to all end!! Somehow I am hoping to pull of all As though....
 
I'm going into finals next week with fairly high As in all my classes. I have one paper due on Saturday but that's going to be a rather simple affair.
 
Just got my first grade back. Solid A in genetics. :) There is a decent chance I am going to make a 4.0 my last semester of school. Probably will finish with a 3.42 with a degree in EE and Math. It's a bit short of the 3.5 I wanted, but not bad.
 
Finals next week for me. Luckily, i only have to do 4 more pages for my english class and study for my physics final (Relativity, quantum and nuclear physics). FML
 
Finished my finals 2.5 weeks ago, and then worked my ass off for 4-5 days straight finishing up my senior project.

Degree done! Starting grad school in the fall.
 
Inorganic Chemistry (2nd semester) and Engineering Calculus finals on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I'm trying to study but I just always get burned out by the end of the semester with apathy!
I've GOT to ace these finals and study my butt off, though....just 4 more days!!!

Well I have received an A in both classes I was unsure of my grade. I am fairly certain I have a guaranteed A in my last 3 classes. This will be the first 4.0 semester of my career. I went out with a bang I suppose. Graduating this Saturday with my BS in Math and EE. I hope my 3.44 is good enough. I already have a job offer, but I want a nice legacy. Ah well, I will shoot for the 4.0 in graduate school. :)

How did everyone else do?
 
Took my Linear Algebra final today, think I pulled a B probably.

Based on intuition and current grades, I have three guaranteed As (Intro C++, Deform Mechanics, my graduate level Computer Vision seminar) two guaranteed Bs that might be As (Thermodynamics I, Visions of Nature), and one C (Linear Algebra).
Not too bad.
 
Finished them up last week. One of my finals was a 120 page workbook I needed to fill out on top of everything else I was doing, I did nothing but work on it until 11pm-5am. I am so glad I'm done for the semester.
 
Took organic today, gonna just barely not pass.
Neurobio's tomorrow, mathematically improbable to pass.
Molecular cell on Wednesday, my best shot at passing a science class this semester. Still not good.

Shoot me with a gun that is sure to do the job.
 
I've got a 30 pager due tomorrow morning that I'm about to go edit. The next day is one exam and then another on Thursday. I had most of my finals stuff due last week, which is supposed to be "dead week" but whatevs. I should be on the Dean's List again, for whatever that's worth. Looking forward to getting back into a normal sleep schedule.
 
finished my finals on the 18th of April, was sure I had failed at least one, but passed everything was so pumped. Now on a co-op work term for 8 months so no more school till January fuck yea.
 
Final English paper: Done

Must do: memorize presentation for public speaking class and study for physics.

Up next: transferring to UC Santa Barbara. WOO!

Popular Culture, Media and Society (Averaging a 75)
Crime, Culture and Social Change (Averaging a 55)

0-35 = Fail (F)
35-40 = Pass (E?)
40-50 = 3rd (D)
50-60 = 2:2 (C)
60-70 = 2:1 (B)
70+ = 1st (A)

Shouldn't have specialised in gender, it's a bloody nightmare.
 
8 Sociology essays due Thursday - only 2 left - 100% of my grade
Accounting 1 final Thursday - 20% of final grade
English 2, 5 page essay due Monday - 50% of my grade

I can't wait til this week is over. -_-'
 
I'm about to finish my first freshman year at College, and although i started this semester on Academic probation due to a 1.0 GPA last semester my GPA right now i think is a 2.8, hopefully gonna finish with a 3.0 and if somehow i get a miracle on my history final i could potentially finish with a 3.2.

This history essay on humanism is worrying me, usually when something is easy for me i get shit on grade wise.

Also, i hate teachers that don't post our grades correctly, we have a system called Blackboard, and for some reason my Music 103 grad shows a 20.00, although i have a 81.2 / 100 Grade.

Hell one of my classes just shows a -.
 
Damn, both my Deform Mechanics and my Thermodynamics exams are tomorrow. I feel prepared for both of them, especially because the Deform professor is famous for his easy exams, but still....I'm trying to figure out how I can study more and I'm drawing a blank.
 
How we doin' with finals, folks? I aced my calc final today and think I did pretty well on my chem final. I have my last final -- genetics/evolutionary biology -- on Friday and I need something like an 86 on the exam to get an A in the class. I have a legitimate shot at a 4.0 this semester. :D
 
Okay, I got a 94% on my thermodynamics final and still only scraped a B+. I'm like... 0.001% away from an A- according to the website. Auuuugh

Other then that, decent semester. C+, B, B+, A, A and one still unknown.
 
I wrote a 2.5 page paper that was supposed to be 5 pages and got a 100 on it. Also got a 92 on an absolute turd term paper. Managed a 90 on a final for a class I got 70s on the first two exams. Fuck yeah.

That's not shitty..I'll show you shitty:

Final grades: Two D+'s, a C-, two B's and a B+

It's actually a coup considering that I

1) studied a combined three hours for all six finals
2) showed up still drunk to two of them
3) skipped class at around half the time on average, more for some classes than others

but I can't let it happen again, as my cumulative GPA took a nosedive down to a 3. And I'll need to be taking 6 classes again...
 
I don't have finals for another 2 1/2 weeks, but I have my last midterm tomarrow at 2 in Abstract Algebra. I find that I'm not really ready for it, so those 2 1/2 weeks are going to involve a shit ton of studying and very little sleep so that I ace my finals.
