The morning after that happened I was surprised to wake up and find out I had not been banned/tagged. I was so sure that night I was getting banned/tagged.
We just need to take things into our own hands and ask for a special arrangement with a mod where we can submit tags for automatic approval with enough votes from people in this thread. AnimeGAF is a semi-autonomous region within GAF territory and deserves some say over its own affairs!
I suggested you use purple avatars because it makes it easier to identify posters with colors. You are purple, ronito is orange cat, and so on. Although the purple wolf/fox things were better than the purple horse-bird you had. Dang thing had a serious beak.

When you run for president of the newly semi-autonomous AnimeGAF and we all start filling our heads with youthful hubris, I just want you to know that Cajunator is probably gonna get Valvrave'd by someone. You'll win at the cost of Cajun.
The second arc of Utena begins! Episode 14 was a god damn plot dump as I was being tossed all of this information at once. I almost decided to rewatch that episode to absorb all of the information. But I decided I would understand it as I continue on with the series.
These two episodes taught me that family members have a fucked up connection with each other: Nanami X Touga, Himemiya X Her brother, Miki X Kozue. I really hope we don't see any of Utena's family members.
This show's tone also seems to be darker than it was during the first arc. I see some broken-ass people, manipulation, and possibly people being tossed into a fiery furnace. Everyone somehow connected to Utena or Himemiya is becoming a duelist, so I am waiting for Wakaba to become a duelist. This arc also revamped the Yami song, and I quite like it. And if I'm not mistaken, every duel tend to have a different song.
I feel like this show might turn me insane, but in a very good fashion. It's getting better and better!

Can't decide if I like Banagher or not yet, but that's okay, 'cuz it took me awhile to warm up to Kamille, too. Audrey is sort of meh to me so far, although I did like her flat out "I don't need you." Also, not a huge fan of the Unicorn Gundam so far, but maybe that's cuz it doesn't look much like a Gundam. However, the music and animation are top notch, and even if I dislike CG mechs as a rule, that odd 4 winged Qubeley-type was a pretty nifty machine. Also: Teehee, Full Frontal.
You know, I have to admire the tenacity of the Zeon, if nothing else. They've lost every single war they've ever fought, had all their charismatic leaders utterly destroyed, had more than one of such leaders exposed as frauds of one nature or another, and yet here they are, like almost 30 years later, still trying and still plugging away.
It almost isn't quite a Gundam show if you don't
blow up a colony or wreck a town
in the first episode. Hey wait, is this a show about an ancient conspiracy, too? Oh snap!
Princess? Don't tell me Audrey is actually Mineva Zabi?! I mean the only non-Zabi royalty I remember from UC were Char and Sayla, and I don't think Audrey is young enough to be Zeon Deikun's granddaughter.
HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG GUNDAM IS BACK FAITH RESTORED IN GUNDAM YES YES HWWWWWWWWWWWHOWHWOHOHOWOOOOOOOOO!O!!!!!!

Perhaps we're more like Puerto Rico. No power of our own, and GAF doesn't want to acknowledge our existence or grant us representation because of our frightening otherness.
did they really die or not arguments in anime, up there with Spike's fate in Bebop and maybe, to some extent, Lelouch's fate in CG. Suffice to say, I'm sure both of them are at least..."gone". The Nu Gundam caused some sort of reaction (presumably NewType in nature) which deflects Axis from hitting Earth).
.
Also, some of the stuff in the movie is brutal. How about
Kayra being crushed alive
. Also
gj Hathaway. Worst Gundam character since Katz and Sarah
I hope you enjoy Unicorn. You have the benefit of being able to watch the OVA's in quick succession but I might wait till the final one comes out and you can just watch them all in one go.
This and the recap episode were the ones that made me finally realize that fact. I can only love Utena even more, since I get a different song each duel. And I love vocal OST. :-D

Quality asside a fun episode about 2 witches trying to find their place in the team among much stronger members by supporting each other and completing their weaknesses.
It also had a loli version ofSDChet (and actual :Chet) You know these people are real sneaky about where they hide their buttshots.
I counted ~55 uniquebuttshots in this episode, so a decent amount of butts I would say.
True, but I think it's a show that's at least worthy of seeing through the end of the first arc. Not necessarily for everyone, but I think it's worth not judging solely on the first four or five episodes.
The AnimeSongCollabo team is back as usual with TV size cover versions of this season's greatest OP/ED hits, such Valvrave OP Preserved Roses, Gargantia ED Sora to Kimi no Message, and of course Attack on Titan OP Guren no Yumia. You can watch these and many many more at their channel page. Quality varies from song to song, but overall they definitely put in good effort.
So uh, saw a softcore porn video and the song Roundabout started playing. I was half expecting the woman in question start doing some Jojo poses. Didn't know whether to laugh, pose along, or fap. What do I do animegaf?
I tend to prefer dubs. My main reason is I have a hard time enjoying a show if my eyes are glued to the bottom of the screen reading. I feel like I constantly have to fight between reading what's being said and watching what's going on. Are some dubs bad? No doubt, but I don't think that they're all far and away bad, and honestly its more comfortable for me to watch it that way. Subtitles are just a lot of times not conducive for me, but that's of course personal preference.
LOL, I guess I deserved that. I got through an entire episode of SAO without doing it once, though!

Ahhhhhh, feels pretty good to be watching new Chuuni after so long. And the Christmassy winter-ness of this episode was almost enough to help me forget how fucking sweltering it is right now in the real world. Fuck Summer (no, not you, Nibutani). But the most satisfying thing about watching this episode was that it used the proper OP, not the boring nerfed version that the TV broadcast switched to after a few episodes. Delicious left-right flashing, I missed you! <3
As for the episode itself, first of all it proved what nobody needed to be told, that Dekomori is best girl. And
filthy rich
, too. That's
basically a full-on mansion she's living in, complete with butler
. And that
crazy party dress
suits her nicely <3
Nibutani, meanwhile, continues to get all the best pairings, as this episode contains healthy quantities of both
MorixMori
and
DogxMori
. It also contains Nibutani in full
fake
Mori Summer getup, which is cute I guess.
Rikka and Yuuta continue to be cute couple, helped along by what would appear to be some
alcohol-laced cakes
.
Drunk Rikka
is best Rikka. Also in this episode, adorable
pinky
handholding.
And to round off our set of girls, Kumin, though she doesn't get a lot to do in this episode, does manage to break friend-of-Yuuta-whose-name-I-can't-remember's mind permanently with her drop-dead gorgeous Santa outfit. Stop that, Kumin, you'll make me doubt my own conviction that Dekomori is best girl. That outfit is a deadly weapon of the highest calibre.
Overall, a fun episode filled with antics and cute. This is the Chuuni I know and love.
Getting Valvrave'd is the best way I could think of to refer to episode 10 of Valvrave, where,
during a speech that genki girl Shoko gives about being greedy that gets her elected president of the school/nation, her on/off boyfriend, nice guy Haruto, is possessed by a demon and rapes fame-loving Rukino. So, in short, getting Valvrave'd in this instance would be getting raped while your friends all celebrated greed and lust with thunderous applause.
