I only watch AoT and Gargantia.
Still watching Space Brothers.
And I still have tons of Gintama and Polar Bear Cafe to watch.

And obviously I watch dramas and toku :lol

The rivals got that treatment too, although I guess it was better handeled in Z as Piccolo and Vegeta are pretty omnipresent even when outclassed.

What about King Piccolo? Dude was literally pure evil.

Yeah, most of the villain don't really have tragic back stories, Dragon Ball is usually about the childlike notion that there is good in everyone.

He has reasons past "just because" though.

His origin is pure evil,
the struggle of him in F/Z basically this "My wife dies etc, why I don't feel shit"
Before Gilgamesh told him "Its just the way you are bro"
Jojo also have collection of villain like this.

Talking about truly evil villains:

Light Yagami

Still wanted him to win.

He worked because you wanted him to fail. His evil intentions were carried out in the name of "justice". Corrupted by the cause.

He was also far too contemptible to root for, at least for me.

Watching:
Attack on Titan
Hataraku Maou-sama!
Aku no Hana
Gargantia

Following for the hell of it at this point:
Valvrave

All in that order. I haven't followed this much in seasons. I'm really feeling Attack on Titan after those last two episodes right now, but the four in the watching tier are all very solid so far.

Damn son, you are so bold. In shoujo terms, that's third base!

GBXipPIl.jpg

You know, I have no idea if it's a new writer or new director, but the move from pure wangst-emo porn to just generic but pleasant slice of life stories really has made this show more watchable (or less watchable, if you like to laugh at Jdoramatic writing, I suppose).

Also, ever since you guys told me that Sawashiro is Haruka, I can't hear her in the same way. Every other sentence, I can hear the sexy rasp come through under the generic blank shoujo heroine that she's forced to play here. I almost want to watch more of My Little Pony again to see if she lets it out there as well. lol

Buns and drills? Seriously?

How come nobody seems to be all that distressed by the fact that Lala has a tail?

And goddamn, Rito is still the dumbass of the century. "Oh, a crane is headed right in my direction. Let me just stand here in place and do absolutely nothing. Oh, the hook is swinging. Getting hit by that would be dangerous. I better just keep standing here like a vegetable. Oh! It hooked me! I should whine like a dumbass instead of doing fucking anything to get myself down! Oh! Now the rich girl in a bikini with underboob wants to seduce me! What do I dooooooooooooooooooooo?!"

She deserved better.

Date a Live 5

Ending: Fine. Better than the first one but that's about it.

That was bad. Absolutely hate it when LN adaptions are sometimes made into anime because at some point, one of the episodes (or the entire show) suffer because of how much they have to fit a lot of the content in 12 episodes. Well guess what? This was that episode. Everything was rushed way to fast and just made the episode suffer for it because of how blantant it was that they just wanted to hurry up and resolve Yoshino's part. Does not help things when the only fanservice provided by the episode is from the worst girl so far.

Still, it could be a blessing in disguise if it means Kurumi appears next episode.

If he actually did anything about it, there would be no show!
Disable images. Its the only way to be sure. Some of them still get through somehow. And it always turns out to be the lewd ones.

All according to plan!

You are even too right about this! It is so damn beautiful in its ordinary sincerity. I'll sure take advantage of another opportunity to post that music theme here:

As I commented a time ago (http://neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=43997820&postcount=10209), it is lovely that thanks to the popularity of the series on this country practically every movie, except a couple of the most recent ones, from the franchise is easily accessible here. Those who can understand Castilian (or Catalan, or Galician, or Basque), even if a little, should consider making themselves with all of them.

By order of product release, English translation of the film's original title in italics:

DVD Shin chan en busca de las bolas perdidas - Luk Internacional / Pursuit of the Balls of Darkness (1997)

DVD Shin chan la invasión - Luk Internacional / Action Kamen vs Leotard Devil (1993)

DVD Shin chan Operación Rescate - Luk Internacional / Blitzkrieg! Pig's Hoof's Secret Mission (1998)

DVD Shin chan en la Isla del Tesoro - Luk Internacional / The Secret Treasure of Buri Buri Kingdom (1994)

DVD Shin chan el pequeño samurai - Luk Internacional / The Storm Called: The Battle of the Warring States (2002)

DVD Shin chan aventuras en Henderland - Luk Internacional / Adventure in Henderland (1996)

DVD Shin chan Perdidos en la jungla - Luk Internacional / The Storm Called: The Jungle (2000)

DVD Shin chan ¡Los adultos contraatacan! - Luk Internacional / The Storm Called: The Adult Empire Strikes Back (2001)

DVD Shin chan y la Ambición de Karakaka - Luk Internacional / Unkokusai's Ambition (1995)

DVD Shin chan y el Chuletón Imposible - Luk Internacional / The Storm Called: Yakiniku Road of Honor (2003)

DVD SPA WARS: La Guerra de los Balnearios -Ed.Sencilla. - Luk Internacional / Explosion! The Hot Spring's Feel Good Final Battle/Kureshin Paradise! Made in Saitama (1999)

DVD Shin chan: 3 MIN para salvar el mundo-Ed.Sencilla. - Luk Internacional / The Legend Called: Buri Buri 3 Minutes Charge (2005)

DVD Shin chan: La novia del futuro - Luk Internacional / Super-Dimension! The Storm Called My Bride (2010)

Unfortunately, some don't have any Japanese audio track available.

Is it really that dark, or are you just being sarcastic? Was considering starting it.
Nah, it was a little sarcastic remark, sorry... I don't like simplified comparisons like that so that response kind of came naturally.

The work in itself is very charming, with a particularly unmitigated sense of curiosity and imagination, and because of that it results in a much broader and natural view onto a child's perception... weird and strange (and sad) sometimes, yeah... but as I said, charming all along.

So there are rumors floating around about staff members already?
Not just rumors, but people directly referencing his involvement on it like Thomas Romain. Recent mentions of meetings at BONES and of artists possibly participating at the project include people like Kunio Okawara and Kevin Aymeric... maybe Yutaka Nakamura or BahiJD.

They only spent two episodes on Yoshino's arc? Lame...
I guess they really are going to spend most of their focus on volumes 3 and 4.

Are we talking about what we're watching?

I've got:
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
Azumanga Daioh
Betterman
The Vision of Escaflowne
Majestic Prince
Valvrave
Code Golbez
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu!!

On my watchlist. Of those shows, I'm most skeptical about Majestic Prince and Valvrave, because I don't have anybody to browbeat me for daring to say negative-to-scathing things about them when I'm less than ten episodes in.

Seems to be quite popular there.
I assume the anime is original material only now, since the manga is over (and the author died :'( )?

Thanks. I'm not that familiar with Okawara and Aymeric. I've heard about Romain but just in passing. I'm pretty hyped though if Nakamura and BahiJD get on board.

Poor Mr. Usui... but even then the franchise is so big it is unstoppable now! His assistants have continued with the graphical novel (under a new moniker, but the same work in essence) because Futabasha Publishers Ltd., didn't want to let it go.

I've been following only the series and movies most of the time, but I think many of the animation episodes were original content anyway, right? They'll keep at it... or they could let Mr. Yuasa bring some more SHIN-MEN specials!

Yes! Yes!
