I'm really involved in some of their sports as well, but it is what it is. As I added later, for the young ones thinking about starting families here. Just make sure you are financially ready, outside of being there for your kids and being a good parent; be financially ready because they really need that suport as well. That doesn;t mean you have to make 6 figures, just be financially reponsible enough to handle what comes your way....
Again, this is just awesome to read, you seem to be a great person so your family must be very happy. I hope to be able to be as involved as you are with all these things while keeping up with real life too.

Arcadius' post on Fushigiboshi no☆Futagohime has made me want to watch that at some point. So they got one person at least!
Heh see Arcadius, I was right.

Let me just post a friendly word of advice:

You shouldn't be posting about "lolis" and certainly not images of men kissing little girls.

I can't believe that I even have to write out that those words because the reasoning behind them should, I imagine, be self-evident.

Like, seriously. Is that not generally understood?

Anno's prophecy must be fulfilled.
This is all Anno's fault. We wouldn't be here if Ebichu hadn't corrupted the innocent minds of our youth.

In every age, in every place,
the deeds of men remain
the same

Uh. Yeah don't do that.

Best case scenario: You could get banned for posting that sort of thing
Worst case scenario: You could get the entire thread locked

Either way, it's a bum deal

Cornbread is kinda new to all of this so cut him some slack.
That said, just to be safe I think that pic should be removed arcadius. The second one.
the first can stay because Shinobu is indeed adorable.

I see this thread is going places that it shouldn't. Let's bring it down shall we.

Soul Eater 12

Decent breather episode. Show introduces a frog girl that's now Medusa's lapdog. Not much to say about this episode really.

Something that's been bugging me while watching Soul Eater though is Blair. Does she contribute anything to the show besides fanservice?

Anime serves a similar purpose to me. Its a hobby that takes my free time and relieves the stresses of working. My job is a lot busier on a consistent basis it seems, so I cant watch anime during work, but I can still find time to chat with you guys on occasion. My coworkers are pretty open to nerdy things and anime isnt frowned upon but more of a curiosity to them. Its a good environment.

I've been working 2 for about 13-14 years now, lol

Luckily there are a couple guys I work with in the office that play games, so we can chat about new stuff coming out or what we are playing (they are definately more casual), but not much for Anime, if we talked about it openly it would definately be shunned in a professional environment, lol..

at night however, It's retail and I work with some younger "nerds" that watch anime and play games openly so it's all good there. One of them is hosting a booth at the local anime convension and has wants me to be there and help out. I'm not sure about that one though since I believe my wife would abolish my existence in disgust. (she hates gaming and anime, lol)

I mean, I don't believe that you need to be a "veteran" of posting about anime on the internet to have a conception of what is and is not acceptable material to post about or discuss or highlight. I feel like society, culture, the law, religion and common sense should have made that clear.

Man I miss that show. It's been so long since I finished it. I continued with the manga afterwards, and once that finished I felt so empty inside. Such a fun cast of characters.

Yeah my coworkers play games together and tlak about it at work. One of them even gets Loot Crate and 1Up box subscriptions and opens them at work. Nerds are the best!

By the way, sent you a pm. You should remove that pic.

Has anyone ever started watching Beyod the Boundry for any other reason than Mirai's character design?

Anyway, finished seasons 1 Log Horizon.
This is part where I'm supposed to compare his show to Sword Art Online.
Of course it's better than SAO, but that's hardly a big achievement, because that show is twilight of anime.
LH is already superior, because it has MMORPG mechanics , and one guy isn't much better than anyone despite all logic and reason.
There is way more to Log Horizon and just that, though.
For starters, the are the characters. Most of the main cast are nicely fleshed out, several of them got their own arcs.
It spents a lot of time on world building and how the game works.Later on in the anime is mostly about politics with the guilds and the npc's.
To stop all the politics stuff from getting too dry, the show also follows a group of young, low level characters.
They are way less annoying than you might think they would be, with one exception.
That's kind of the point, though, and it's worth it in the end.

The gameplay is similar to WoW/Everquest ,but the later episodes seem to more inspired by Eve Onine with a high emphasis on guild politics.
It's almost like the creator actually knows a thing or 2 about these kind of games.

I heard season 2 isn't as good, which is why I'm not going to it watch right now,but I probably will at some point.

Are you guys TRYING to shut this place down and make me go back to SonicGAF?!?

Maybe I should start that Sonic X rewatch I've been planning on doing now so I can prepare myself just in case. -_-

After I finish with Romeo, I might just go straight into City Hunter 2, I can't fucking contain my excitement any longer. I NEED to watch more City Hunter, fuck it's going to be so damn good. Sorry silly OVA's, you might have to wait a little longer. I need some more Ryo in my life...everything was okay when he was around. I'm excited now.

Yeah I watched it because the premise seemed interesting but ultimately it didnt really get very far so I just concentrated on how damned cute Mirai is and left it there.

Also I agree with your assessment of Log horizon entirely.

It's over guys let's get back to normal lol.

Man I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow in SNAFU. Thursdays are awful because of the wait for the subs that are only out in the morning.

Real talk, Do people find the 'anime releases of the week' posts I do useful? I find that most people here get that shit weeks in advance anyways.

This is a bit old, but I still need to watch this show: I remember finding out about it on an auction site through a tiny little thumbnail a while back lol. The shit I find, crazy. Looks nice.

You're right, I can't assume everyone knows the character involved and their circumstances. I was thinking about the lewdness not being present, but not the situation. I'd feel horrible if anything drastic happened because of something that should be common sense. Again, my apologies. .

What sucks is we don't get it on the east coast until 1:30am Sat. ..

How many more episodes of the Iroha arc?
I'm still calling it that the middle school girl will play a big role in the conclusion. .

Don't worry about that, looks straight up my alley, of course seeing your praise for it makes me even more excited to watch it. Looks really nice and can tell that it'll be something spcial. :) When I first found out it, it looked like some hidden gem, surprised so many people have actually seen it here. Shows how out of the loop I am lol.

Fantastic Detective Labyrinth 01-25

I saw listings for character songs of this a long time ago, but it never garnered much interest in an era where simulcasting wasn't big. Now I've seen all of it, and the first half with the various mysteries was actually kinda interesting. I know the second half of the anime was original - not enough source material? - and it, dealing with Mayuki and Seiran's family history, was alright, but I felt the first half, even with its case-of-the-week in a semi-post-apocalyptic world was more interesting. Of course, Mayuki has actual superpowers, but the show still left enough hints as to the real solutions of the cases. A perfectly average series.

There's another show from the same season (coincidentally, the season I started watching anime in) - that debuted on the same day, even - that I'd like to watch, but I'll put it off until later. Because I'm going even further back in time for the next show on my backlog. All the way back to 1999. A contemporary of shows like Doremi and Digimon, and one of anime's few other titles about lady space pirates. But with less of a hard sci-fi angle.
