Woman Called Fujiko Mine - Completed
Going in, I wasn't actually expecting this to more or less also be the origin stories for most of the main cast. The art direction and sound track was dope as hell and I liked how the second half of the series in a way felt like a character study for how Fujiko became the woman that she is in the present. Was also cool seeing the other character dynamics slowly form, particularly between Lupin and Jigen. One thing that took me off guard though wasI'm so used to the character being a goof ball in other entries in the franchise that something that...adult, caught me off guard lol. My one complaint is I felt like at times Fujiko felt like a side-character for too much of the series. I still really enjoyed it though.Zenigata actually sleeping with Fujiko in his intro episode.
It's an interesting take on the Lupin lore, but yeah that spoiler part really threw me just because it goes against the core of the characters. Overall it's the weakest of the series.
