Square Enix trademarks Ever Crisis, The First Soldier, and Shinra logo in Japan

I don't care for tabata games, since the combat is lacking, but if they remaster FFVII Crisis Core I'd give it another go.

I have a feeling they're just going to be dipping into Zach's story more with the FF7 reboot stuff

Square already has an MMO, FF14, so if it did have to do with an MMO, I would expect it to be an tie in

What if its a side story where you play as sephiroth do the things he does coinciding with what cloud an co are doing?

Please be console games, please be console games, please be...

Not a chance, right? :messenger_smirking:

Ever Crisis, I dunno. A retelling of crisis core using the Remakes assets? Seems like a good way to do something without a gigantic budget that would also give tons of people something they've been begging for.

Could be a reference to before crisis, So an FF7 mobile game.

Or who knows maybe after 15 years they finally managed to make a deal that would allow it

The First Soldier sounds like a movie or something, Could be a Sephiroth OVA. Or could refer to an even earlier version of the soldier which could show us the super early days and the humble beginnings or something.

Or it could be for a t shirt

Sephiroth is waaaay to OP. Allowing the player to control him would mean you could see him struggle which just doesn't make any sense unless you are making him fight like 20 giant boss monsters at once.

I don't think a game where you play as CURRENT sephiroth would work. A prequel may be doable.

Ever Crisis is weird. Why continue with the FFVII Compilation naming when FFVIIR is so clearly going in a different direction than the original?

I don't know if I want these to be very minor projects solely meant for Japan (with no ties to the remake) or bigger releases to go with the remake project.

Nomura-san, please enlighten us.

I do hope that the next part of FF7 Remake is called: Final Fantasy 7 Remake - Disc 2.
Then there would be quite a big portion of the game cut.
The original game's disc one does not end in the Midgar section.

Edit.
Even her death

What is Ever Crisis is Crisis Core but done so it fits the FF7 remake timeline/storyline? 🤔

Doing that final battle and actually being able to win to save Zack would be awesome. 😭

Gotta agree here, I felt CC's combat was flat and sterile. But if it's a remake with a refreshed combat system, I'm down to try again.

Everything is fine as long as its good and if its not good at least dont make it required knowledge to understand the story (coughs in FFXV)

You are right but I think for the remake it would work anyway because

it threw the original story pacing and design out of the window anyway

But let's face it, calling it Disc 2 would be too obivous. Nomura will call it something like Final Fantasy VII: Re:make. Third part will be Final Fantasy VII: reMake

Yeah something like Final 7antasy: Reignited (Lost) Dream veRsus Edit:make

Edit. That will be the fourth one with "discs"1-3 remade for PS7 and including Crisis Core Remake's demo.

I wager one of the titles is a Crisis Core remake/sequel acknowledging the Remake story changes.

Despite not being my favorite genre, a FFVII MMO would be very cool though. Being an employee of an electric company in a Steampunk/Cyberpunk/Fantasy world is a fun premisse.

How about Final Fantasy VII: Remako

Jesus...they haven't even announced the release of episode two of however many episodes they're gonna draw this out to. Typical Square getting ahead of themselves with a franchise. That's why Trails is the king of JRPGs now. I used to be a big FF fanboy but their inability to release consistently good titles compared to Falcom and Tales or Trails has proven they're not as good anymore.

Trails? What series is that?

They would have to make some major changes for me to want to sit through it again... completely remove any reference to Genesis for starters.

Ever Crisis - DLC that focuses on Zack. I'm guessing it's a 2-3 chaptered episode retelling of Crisis Core and cuts out the Nibelheim Episode.
The First Solider - DLC that focuses on Cloud and Sephiroth. I'm guessing it's a 1-2 chaptered episode that only tells the Nibelheim Incident.

Ah so more compilation bullshit then cannot wait for more :
- Zirconiade and Elfe
- Genesis and Minerva
- Weiss and Nero
- Vincent and Lucretia
- Protomateria and Weapons
