I haven't played much Half Life, but the vibe I got from the St. Louis Arch this foggy day was the same I got from HL2.
This would make a cool area for HL3... In fact, all of St. Louis would.

I loved St Louis, I wish I lived there still :(

I aspire to live there. I love the beautiful old architecture... I love the feel of the city.
I know the cost of living is low as hell in Houston, but I wouldn't mind paying more to move to Missouri.

Why can't you do something useful with that camera, like follow young girls into department stores and take pictures of their butts?

If Olimario ever went to New York I can't imagine how many stupid threads he would need to create to show us all the pictures.

I can usually fix the colors a bit in photoshop with the Match Color feature, but I don't have PS here. The colors you see are untouched.

I wish the shutter speed was a bit faster and I wish that my pictures weren't grainy in the dark.
In daylight or a decently lit area it works wonderfully and usually the shutter speed works just fine.

The first two pics are drab, the arch is something photographed too often. The angle on the third pic is better. Less trees.

And everyone loves fall leaves...I have to wonder where they are, since the trees in the first pic have few leaves on them.

More Pikmin in cutlery next time.

Those leaves were in the same park. Some trees still have them.
Drab? Fair enough. I rather like the first picture... not the second.

LMAO, I entered this thread having just read the title and it took me about one sentence and the first picture to realize this was an Olimario thread. God you are so annoying.

Water Fountain picture is taking "Pics of Inanimate Objects" to a whole new level...a low one. No artistic value at all.

The nature shots are fine, and everyone loves Chipmunks in puddles.

The water fountain pic wasn't meant to be artistic. I would argue with you if it was.
It's a squirrel, not a chipmunk.

That tail is so not bushy enough to be a squirrel unless it was very recently dipped in that puddle.

Dare I ask WHY you took a picture of the water fountain? I'm a digital camera nut who took a picture of a person's pots and pans at a house party. It wasn't my camera, so they found a picture of pots on their camera. Sigh.

I was just taking pictures. I didn't intend for much there to be artistic, though I am pleased with the first tree picture. I went to the park with the intent of taking leaf macros for my mother to hand on the wall in her den.

You need shit to do. Or your woman isn't putting out. One or the other. Or both. At any rate, this all explains so much.

I'm in St. Louis for the week.
My parents and sister went grocery shopping.
I took a walk in a beautiful park.

Do you really see that as a waste of time?

Yeah; flower/leaf Macros are great for hanging on walls, have done that myself.

Bad art, fire the artists.

don't listen to the haters, Oli.

Also, keep using shallow DOF and macro whenever you feel like it. Macro's a world of fun. I aspire to get the fastest digital lens + camera so I don't have to use chemistry.

And St. Louis as you see it looks awesome and comfortable, like home.
