ERMYGERD!
I had a hard time picturing Stan Lee cussing and yelling, but then I remembered that one Big Bang Theory episode... I guess that was closer to the real Stan Lee than his performance in Mall Rats.

Wasn't there a Gaffer who shared a story of seeing Stan cursing up a storm at an airport security check area?

I could see the incident being half true. Two sides of the story and all that.

I full on believe Kirby is full of it. Well not that all that he said was trash but I really have a hard time trusting what Kirby said. I don't trust anyone who says they've never told a lie.

There are also many others who worked with Lee that are downright complimentary of the man. John Romita Sr for example.

Not too say Lee hasn't done shady stuff or w/e.

Also, damn if Lee is cussing and going on ragers, thats pretty impressive virility. Dude is 90+

Lee actually once said in an interview that he thought Kirby may have had something like dementia near the end of his life, which might explain why he got more bitter and starting claiming all of the credit for dialogue and Spider-Man (two things he didn't do, Steve Ditko plotted Spidey as we know). Jack went to Stan a year before he died and suddenly made up with him. Also, Ditko is a big Rand fan, which is why he took off.

Anyways, I wouldn't be surprised if Stan got pissed at people a lot privately, but it seems like his daughter may be a bigger issue for the guy suing. I encourage people to read Marvel Comics: The Untold Story, it tells you more about the real Stan Lee without completely portraying him as an asshole (still, these allegations don't surprise me, if true).

None us know the guy personally, but I know Stan is a busier man at 92 than I was in the past 10 years of living combined... And yet when I met him, he still was the most cordial guy I'd ever encountered.

Who knows? I remember reading about Shigeru Miyamoto swearing up a storm once. People in private can be far more "human" than in public, but Stan's always struck me as a straight shooter guy that does make the effort to mend bridges and treat people with respect. He did with me, at least, for the brief time I met him.

That's it? There has to be more to it. So now getting sworn at is enough for an emotional abuse law suit?

Don't defend grotesque behavior. That one (alleged) instance with the Easter basket alone is truly disgusting and wildly inappropriate, and actually does constitute emotional abuse if it happened as described.

There's nothing weak about being traumatized by multiple extreme personally degrading outbursts. Anyone who thinks so needs to learn a bit about human psychology and stop dismissing legitimate abuse.

uhhhh honestly

like, yeah, he's known to be an asshole

but verbal abuse // $40 an hour

call me shitty but like, yeah its raw treatment and enough to just quit and tell him to fuck himself

but suing someone over being called a "little bitch" and shit

.. eh

Paying someone $40/hour doesn't give you the right to treat them like shit.
