I don't see a problem with bailing when you've got a shit team and it's thrown you off of your game. I do it every so often, especially when my teammates aren't even attempting to play the objective in Supremacy. I'm not going to go negative becauses my teammates won't help me push forward.

Sometimes you just need to stop, take a breather, and kick some ass to get back in the groove.

Back to the actual game...has anybody caught any wind of an ETA on the patch this month? Or its it going to be on the 29th at 9pm?

Strangely Ive actually seen a down tick on A-wing usage (in fighter squadron at least) which has resulted in a few Empire wins; but you still occasionally see a team of nothing but A-wings.

Also, I finally saw an Imperial victory on Endor....felt good but it was really damn close.

EDIT: Now that we have private matches, has anybody tested damage to Boba Fetts jetpack? It says in the tips that if it takes too much damage it will start to malfunction. Im curious if it totally breaks the jetpack or if he starts flying around erratically.

But in all seriousness, each and every star card has a role, you should use whatever as long as it benefits the type of game mode and map you're playing.

ES is great on Jundland against heroes protecting M-Coms.

But I don't play the smaller modes enough to really comment on them.

I should've elaborated. Larger modes it is understandable. It's good for going against heroes. I'm talking about the smaller modes. It's absolutely ridiculous when people use that in small corridors or when you're facing off one on one with them and they have to use that.

Well shucks, I guess I should treat every game as if I'm saving the galaxy or something. lolol

And if you only "popped in for 5", how would you know if I "camp the back with the AT-ST"? And if you saw me supposedly camping the back of the map, you'd realize I was playing the objective. But hey, some of us have selective memory!

Yeah. This helps me. It's frustrating to join a team that is getting steamrolled and then get crushed yourself. Why stay? According to mokfish, to save the galaxy or something (lol).

He could've PM'd me, but he was trying to start a public beef.

Imperial wins on Endor are becoming more prevalent. I don't know if DICE changed anything, or people are just getting smarter and actually playing the objective.

I'm not very fond of the wallhack, but I think this patch did something to its cool down timer or how long it shows people.
 
I just realized that I haven't played on Dune Sea Exchange in over a month. I never get in a Drop Zone lobby that's close to it in the rotation and I leave when Swamp or Ice Caves pops up.
 
Soooo.... We're back at the whole "my loadout is better then your loadout" stuff huh?
Anyway....some thoughts and observations from today:

- Seeing a lot of empire wins on Endor now. Good stuff.

- Played Vader on Endor today and got insta-killed at 100% health by a speeder crashing into me. They should change that imo, maybe take half your health, but not immediate death.

- Had to get 10 kills in a Rebel ship for the Daily Challenge today and hopped in a game of Fighter Squadron. That's the mode they should address first imo. Of course fix the A-wing, but also improve the AI of the bot ships and maybe buff their health a bit so that matches don't end so quickly and basically make it a more challenging mode.
 
First off ive been loving this game since the beta i really enjoy the arcadey nature as opposed to the aim down sightiness of every other major fps bar halo.

But ive noticed that some opponents you play against are just really bad, like almost impossibly bad. Do you think its possible that these are fake psn tags being used as Bots to make players feel better that they are winning?

Seriously watch this video and tell me if you think they are real people.

Yeah I have that sometimes when I get into a match where I can get a lot more kills then I probably should. Probably just a balancing issue.

Remember that this is a Star Wars-game. People who never or very rarely play games probably are playing this, because it's Star Wars. Two of my friends who never is playing video games bought PS4's and Battlefront.

Pretty much the same reason I got into it myself too. This is the first multiplayer shooter I ever got really into and that is all thanks to it being star wars.

is there a host advantage maybe? sometimes it feels like my shots arent hitting properly where as in this game the were connectin perfectly, and possibly the enemies shots werent connecting properly?
 
Got the cycler rifle headshot trophy at the end of a heated match of cargo where one guy became my rival. Just taunting each other after every death to the point where he was obviously frustrated and specifically gunning for me. Felt so good pulling out the cycler rifle and shooting his head off as he was sprinting at me with that personal shield on.
 
Oh, yes, I remember now, reason to use explosive shot is to knock down the shieldS of all those people running around inside their little blue balls. :)

No, the game actually uses dedicated servers. There may be some lag, but no host advantage.


Are you getting hitmarkers? You really need to leas your shots in this game.
 
So now that the DL-44 is reasonable (found myself using it all the time after a while), I've found myself using the SE-14C a lot. It's a pretty solid gun.

The DL-44 seems to still have it's place though.
 
Played this tonight for the first time since the update (I'm level 50) the game is a total mess now, just about won as Rebels on Endor on Walker Assault, loved playing this before Christmas & was really considering getting the Season Pass, but I'm now more likely going to trade this in.

Really? To me, in almost every way, the game feels more balanced and cohesive after the latest patch.

What he said. I felt rusty and off since the last time I played, which was about the first week of January. After a few games, it felt way better than pre-patch. Less Battlefield boom booms and whistley rockets. Kills and being killed felt far less cheap.

I doubt you'd have to be there for every match. That's why it's max 8v8 and min 4v4. If some people can't make it, they can replace you with someone else on the clan list.

I probably won't even be able to play often in matches. Adult life and everything. That doesn't really matter, there are plenty of legacy clans that you could join (or you could make your own, or a GAF clan) and you don't need to play in every match.
 
Submit a grief report and he'll get banned for a day or two. It's fun to do that and not block them so when they come back they send more hatemail and get banned again.

Same for me.
Although I dabble in MP games here and there (for maybe a week or two) the last multiplayer game that I spent more than 20 hours on was the original Gears of War.
I've played this for over 100 hours and it's mainly because I love Star Wars.
 
Those nights where every match you get into your team is getting absolutely destroyed and you wonder why you bother with this game...
