I will probably pick up that Art book eventually, but shit lining up at Toys R' Us at midnight on a Friday night is just off the charts in terms of the Nerd-O-Meter.

I worked at Toys R' Us year ago, and believe me, they're pretty well stocked with Star Wars merchandise, that stuff will still be there weeks and months down the line.

i rememb er when my friend talked me into going to TRU like at 7 am to get some Episode 1 toys. "They'll be worth a ton of money in a few years!" he said. I still have those pieces of shit in a box somewhere, all in the original packaging.

I know, I worked at Toys R' Us during Christmas of 1999 (don't ask), and I remember we still had a shitload of Star Wars merchandise sitting around from the previous summer, not to mention a huge amount of Episode I Racer N64 bundles.

The only real piece of merchandise I absolutely want from Episode III is the John Williams' soundtrack with the bonus DVD.

mana mana mana, you will read the novelisation before seeing the movie?

No, but I've read the graphic novel (Wal*Mart's website got it in early - finished it tonight). I never read the novel because there's always a bunch of stuff added to it to flesh it out.

I've been thinking about collecting those kick ass Playskool Star wars toys along with the Unleashed series. I owned all of the 94-00 collections of the toys. I even have presale, special editions and shit load of them signed.

I'm probably gonna end up with obiwan at least.

I made the mistake of reading Attack of the clones before seeing the movie. It made me long for more from the movie. But after reading Phantom i was like end it now.

I think the Anakin one is pretty cool, but the Obi-Wan one is a little off.

That Kotobukiya Darth Maul statuette they released a few years ago was the coolest thing ever though ...

would just like to point out that you can go to walmart.com right now and order any of the novelizations (audio book, hardback, or graphic novel). All are in stock and many have already received them.

Thanks for the heads up. They've also got 'The Art of ROTS', ' The Making of Episode III' and pretty much the rest of the EpIII tie-in books in stock now too. Needless to say, my Amazon order has been cancelled.

Lucasfilm found out that Wal*Mart was selling them early and all items are on "Vendor Hold" now. If you order one, it won't ship until next Saturday at the earliest.

this is not true and it had/has nothing to do with lucasfilm. it had to do with delrey... the only book being stopped is the novel. but all of the DK books and Scholastic, and most importantly the audio books, are still shipping. I should know......... when I thought I ordered the hardcover I in fact ordered the FUCKING ABRIDGED AUDIO FUCKING CD>>>>

which is what my spoiler thread is based on BTW. so I only have the abridged CDs along with the scan and stuff that are already out there.
