Given that everyone just assumes Rey is Luke's daughter, Rey's parents being no one special would be a plot twist itself.
True, but then the whole "touching the lightsaber" scene wouldn't make much sense, would it?

Craziest idea I heard: she's a clone of Luke's hand.
Here's what REALLY HAPPENS:
After Luke lost his lightsaber in Bespin, it was recovered from the ductwork by whoever. They sold it on the black market. His dismembered hand was with it, so that was frozen in a small carbonite container. Whoever bought the hand took it straight to Kamino. Maybe someone working for Snoke? I dunno. Anyway, the longnecks used the hand to clone Luke.
Rey HAD no mother, just like Anakin had no father. It's kinda like poetry.
Looks like they were recreating a scene from A New Hope? Would be cool if it's something they ended up completing for a bonus feature
The Star Wars Facebook page posted this 360 view of the Jedha tank scene with some commentary from Gareth. George suggested the Hovertank pilots have their own helmets.

SlashFilm have also got hold of a few photos that show how some events were changed.
PM'dWhere's the best place to watch Rebels from the beginning?
Disney XD Go should have it if you have a cable subscription,
They don't have seasons 1 and 2 anymore, but they'll probably be back in rotation, uh, eventually.
So, whats the function of the Tie-Striker? U-Wing is a troop transporter, that has been shown in the movie, but I am not sure regarding the Striker. Its a In-Atmosphere-Ship? Nothing that is supposed to fly around in space?

How many did you guys actually spot in the film? I can remember General Merrick being killed by one but that's about it. They had to kill my favourite minor character.
That one and there is one that flies by the big dish when Jyn sends the Data
Still super strange how few screentime that thing had. I mean, its better the way they handled it in the movie, so it doesnt feel strange that these Strikers never show up again, but still.
U-Wing is also great handled. There was just never any opporturnity to deploy troops in the OT.
So much TFA stuff looks horrendous by comparison to Rogue One.I was actually pretty disappointed when the U-Wing crashed. They may have gone through hundreds of designs but it was worth it. Far superior to the troop transport the Resistance were using in TFA.
U-wing door gun
The Tydirium devirate? Really dislike the shape of that thing, it just a shape with a super tiny window. Looks super bland IMO.Really liked the Zeta class shuttle as well.

Look at all the weapons they invented for Rogue One
Jyn's blaster
Cassian's blaster
U-wing door gun
Deathtrooper blasters
They look like they belong in Star Wars.
The First Order Weapons look awful, like cheap Super soakers designed by the guys that make these strange Star Wars Hotwheels.Safe and familiar, maybe, but there's nothing that looks "horrendous" in TFA. I agree that R1 was much more creative in general though.

What else didn't you like? The Resistance transport was the only ship I thought looked kinda fugly.
I preferred the blasters in Rogue One overall. Cassian's rifle is my favourite out of the two new films. Love how easily he can convert it to a sniper rifle. Baze's repeater cannon and Chirrut's light bow were pretty great too.
I liken the FO weapons to the fact that you can buy a muitiple colored gun these days.
is a pretty good progression of
However I really love the Shoretrooper variant
I actually prefer that upgrade
No way would it be this soon.I don't believe this for a second from The Trickster, but if people want to keep an eye out:

I trust anyone who goes by the name of "The Trickster".
I don't trust him.
