Didn’t see an OT so lock if needed. But man holy shit my expectations were low and this surpassed the hell of them. Love that Episode 1 is basically a short film and sets up so much cool immediately post Clone Wars stuff.
The quality doesn’t skip a beat, even after the incredible Clone Wars series finale. I did a double take when I saw the episode was over an hour. Watching the Bad Batch in action has me wanting to play Halo Reach for that squad dynamic.
Genuinely thought this was a thread bashing the sequels and jumped in ready to join the pile on. Never heard of this before, glad it seems you're all enjoying it!
I tried episodes of the various Clone Wars shows over the years but none ever clicked with me. The first episode of this was very good, however. I can definitely watch this.

Clone wars is pretty hard to get into especially at the beginning. season two and three really pick up and become more adult than the first two seasons.
Based on Episode 3 I'm very curious if Filoni is going to follow George's idea for Stormtroopers that George expressed during the filming of ROTS.
Basically the idea is that Stormtroopers are mostly conscripted soldiers, but if you're a high ranking Imperial and you don't want to send your kid to be cannon fodder they would create and send a clone instead. If he is going with George's plan, then that would be how Kamino stays in the picture.
Episode 1 and 3 were pretty damn dark: shooting Jedi at point blank range and then a completely innocent group of civilians is not exactly kid friendly and way more hardcore than anything in the OT. Ep 2 seemed kiddy.

Well that's true enough but had that happen as well in ROTS in much the same way.
I'll hang on to see what other people think of the other episodes, but as it is I can't say I'm excited to watch another 17 episodes if they're like the first 3.

Yeah Filoni has a way of making stuff fit that seems like filler so I’ve learned to not pass judgment till the end. 1 and 3 were strong 2 was forgettable to me but will probably crop up later.
