I can't believe I would ever be put in a position to say this in my life but...
Longsword lightsaber looks bad ass.
I know... I know... I suck.

Isn't like having the hilt would have helped them much in the situations they both (Luke and Anakin) got their hands maimed.

Hayden is reacting too soon to the hit. Feels weird. never noticed it til now.
Closer to our 30 years. If it was 50 it would be a bit hard to have Hamill and friends reprise their roles. The Good:
- Black lead. Pretty ballsy of Disney. I applaud.
The Bad:
- The seemingly slavish devotion to the originals. It's supposed to be about 50 years after the OG trilogy. Why the heck are X-Wings and the Millennium Falcon still a thing? What the hell are stormtroopers still around for? Why are we back on Tatooine? Because nostalgia pandering, that's why.
- That shot of the Falcon is a less convincing vfx shot than a great deal of the ones in the original trilogy. The sense of weight and movement just isn't believable, and makes me fear Abrams' typical over-stylized bullshit is going to result in action scenes that are little more than a mess of blur and color like the Star Trek films.

I don't remember the particulars of the fight, but it looks like Dooku is throwing a little Force push into Anakin to knock his arms away so he can swing in under the blade. In which case, Hayden's reacting to the push, not the hit.

One thing I'll say is that its weird that NONE of the Star Wars trailer takes place in space. Not even a "planet scroll".

Pretty sure he's reacting to Dooku's prior moveHayden is reacting too soon to the hit. Feels weird. never noticed it til now.

This movie is going to be awesome. I can already tell the action is going to be a major step up from the prequels thanks to JJ. I never thought I'd say this, but I think I'm actually more hyped for this than Avengers: AoU.
Also there's no R2 co-pilot units on these new X-Wings.
I just want to say that I'm FUCKING EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHBUNDUUURUURURURURUUR
Are those emitters? Or just coverings for the beams? Think about it.
Also, Grievous lost a hand that could have been saved by a crossguard. And even if he hadn't, that doesn't mean it's never happened before in all the thousands of years of Star Wars history. Or do you think that only things that have been shown in the older movies can happen in the newer ones. Then what would be new about them?
Kenny Baker must be in the best shape of his life now. This is because they are busy rolling around.
For the record, that isyou hear in the trailer. I was able to verify this, although I was not able to uncover any further information about the role he plays. Heres what I do know, though. Hes playing a pivotal role in the film, although he will not have a lot of screen time.Andy Serkis
In the case of Star Wars, both Vader and Luke grew up there, so it is natural that one of Leia's or Luke's offspring might want to dive into the family legacy and live there.
Also there's no R2 co-pilot units on these new X-Wings.
I love the irony of how key players in this story originate from such a seemingly empty, unassuming desert planet. Tattooine has always had a great air of mysticism surrounding it because of this, almost as if intentional in a spiritual kind of way. I'm glad they kept that angle.
i'm surprised nobody has made a white house petition yet.reminder this movie might actually have more to do with other things than a sword
debate me.
I'm thinking that first shot in the trailer is possibly the first shot in the movie
After the scroll we move down into Tatooine/NotTatooine and the first thing we do is meet the confused, crashed stormtrooper who doesn't know where he is or what the fuck is going on
Maybe.

Star Wars is so gonna be a world in Kingdom Hearts 3
Lucas is involved because of the old characters.
