Star Wars THE FORCE UNLEASHED 2 |OT| You can use TWO lightsabers now

Finally beat Challenge 1 with a Gold. Now to just get gold on all of the other challenges.

The patch for the DLC went live sometime this week as I downloaded it yesterday morning.

I also really hate how this game was framed for SD sets. I just got an HDTV and I'm playing levels that I had problems seeing enemies on I figured out why: Because the SD framing was zoomed in on the widescreen frame. So retarded. For example, the Challenge where you block the missiles for x number of minutes? I had a hard time seeing the enemies because the camera wouldn't let me see the ones on the far right or left of the screen, I just thought it was part of the design. Nope. Same goes for that one level where you're on top of the car trying to destroy the tie fighters: the ones that came in from the far right of the screen I couldn't see until it was too late but now when I play the level I see them just fine. Ugh.

Was a price ever announced for the Endor DLC pack? If I'm not mistaken it's out this week.
Yes i just bought it. 1 dollar in US, 80 MicrosoftPoints in europe which should be around 1 euro.
I just bought the character pack and Endor dlc both for 80mp each. Will give impressions later on.

Oh nice, for a buck I'll take the plunge.

My Endor DLC thoughts.

+ It's a dollar.
+ You can punt Ewoks.
+ Endor looks good.
+ 4 new costumes.

- It's short. Took me 45 minutes.
- Barely any story. You go kill the rebels on Endor including
Han, Chewie, and Leia who now wields a saber.
- You can't skip the cutscenes.
- Level design is boring. You get one puzzle, two boss battles, and a couple waves of enemies you can just blast through.
- The ending sets up for more DLC cause Lucasarts likes to milk this stuff.

Honestly it isn't that great but for a dollar I say play it.

Let me tell you man, I was so dissapointed in the final product, I got to the battle with Vader again and it is taking too long and cheaply to defeat the sum bitch I gave up before "finishing" this game... I think even the first game was better than this.

Yep, I was going to post this pretty much word for word.
I did enjoy the final boss fight though, thought they did it well.

I only managed to find one of the holocrons, I saw another one, but couldn't get to it.

If they throw in, say, 4 or 5 other DLC for 1 dollar each, we got ourself a real retail game. :lol

Played a bit of the DLC this morning. The tree trunk puzzle was obtuse when you first get to it (how was I supposed to know to move the trunks until it told me to?) and the combat up that z-trail was so annoying. Still, for a buck it's OK.

Yeah the end battle was pretty cool. I liked how you started at the bottom and made your way to the roof. I only wish they would have pulled the camera back so you could have had a view of the whole Radar dish.

Did anyone notice in the credits that the DLC was made by the Singapore studio? I guess the original TFU team is all gone. It makes me wonder if Lucasarts would actually close up if the The Old Republic is a failure.

Wasn't the original TFU team "all gone" - as in fired - upon the release of the first game?

Yeah, this confuses me as well. Zombie team making this DLC, or it was all done in advance and they just kept it out of the original game (which is not very hard to believe considering how short the game was).

A Lucasarts rep had said here on gaf from what I recommended that it was only some of the original team, not all of them. Likely once again they dumped a bunch of the dev team after TFU2 and still have some tinkering about or moving onto other projects.

Amazon has the CE for $39.99
Worth the shot?

I liked the first game, and bought the CE of the 2nd game (mostly for the USB stick). The game itself was....disappointing, primarily because it's half a game, which obviously is setting up for DLC or a sequel. I can deal with a game ending that is a set up for DLC/sequel, but -not- if the actual game is noticeably truncated, which unfortunately, TFU2 is.

That said, gameplay was enjoyable for me, as it was in the first game. And I actually like the TFU story better than the movies, lol. Sam Witwer <3 Endor DLC is worth it, simply because it's 80 points and you can punt Ewoks.

I'll probably buy the third game, if there is one, but after this experience, not day one.

The really strange part about the game is how it's short - as you mention - but then the first dlc released doesn't continue the story; At least with tfu1 the first dlc sort-of does.

I don't know about the quality of the overall game yet but wowzers, do the graphics impress. On a PC this stuff looks like it could be an early Xbox 720/PS4 title at times.

I beat the game this morning. Only took me 4 hours on the medium difficulty setting. I thought it was incredibly rushed, the ending was ridiculous, and Starkiller's VA needs to learn how to properly convey emotions.

I read through the whole thread and was surprised to see no one mention a possible Malastare level being cut from the game. Remember how Kota asks Starkiller to drop him off anywhere before going to Dagobah, and then he's back with Starkiller when they get to the Salvation? There's a conversation between the two of them about something happening on Malastare when Starkiller picked him up.

The boss battle against that big beast in chains is the most tedious boss fight I've played in my entire life. Holy fuck. Even the QTEs in Heavenly Sword were more fun than than that shit. No decent playtester would have provided good feedback on that fight, how did it even make it into the game?

This game is terrible. I think I'm near the end... crashed a medical frigate into Kamino or whatever... :|

I'm pretty sure the final boss fight took longer than the rest of the game. (didn't think they made games that were 4 hours or less anymore)

I'm torn. On one hand, I really enjoyed the graphic boost and epic moments in the game - parts felt like they were torn from God of War and painted with space colors.

But this game did not need to be made. The story is so horrible and doesn't advance anything at all. This is the first time I have ever felt this way about a sequel. I really wish they had done something else because I really do enjoy running around with force powers and lightsabers.
