Hell, the shift in Armada between 300 and 400 point games is pretty damn crazy as well. And that is only 100 points.
It's a great mat, I love mine.
Thirded - official mat is great. Planning on getting a second soon.
Haha that's awesome!got a somewhat excited call from my Dad who was in his local game store and picked up my pre-order of the Raider, he was practically begging me to let him open it, so I gave him permission.
Cannot wait to use that ship. It looks so good it makes me want to play epic.
Thanks, I'll check it out.I listen to Nova Squadron Radio, Their analysis of each ship are great and they discuss builds and such so it can be fun. I honestly can't tell them apart and sometimes they pat themselves on the back a little too much but other than that it's a great show.
I've received my Imperial Raider today. I'm almost sad to resell all the Epic things of it. Almost.
Shame nobody on my area has interest on playing that mode
Also, after having the ship on my hands, I keep what I said on the GenCon pics: the belly is effing ugly. The rest of the design is growing on me, tho.
I tied in the raider with the next wave preorder at miniature market, wondering if I should cancel so I just get the raider. Any idea when the next wave releases? I thought it was August too.

Aggressor (36), Veteran Instincts (1), Sensor Jammer (4), “Mangler” Cannon (4), Autothrusters (2)
Was a really good game, managed to luck out and nail his Han with a crit to rid him of his pilot ability and vet instincts, all whilst trying to stay the hell out of Horns arc (though thankfully, THE UNTOUCHABLE BOBA FETT) came through for me. After a few rounds, Han went down, Horn bumped Fett triggering APL and scoring a hit, after that, a really lucky manlger shot rid Horn of a stealth device and his shield and the rest was just Fett cleaning up.
His list consisted of a mini Tie Swarm with NightBeast and ouicunn with ysanne and reb captive.
I feel bad about this win. I really do. The game went fairly standard, he was using Lando to do a green and give Dash 2 focus (because of recon spec), meanwhile Lando would evade, but he kept running his lando into Fett and I was scoring hits with APL. So I focused on Dash, stripped him of shields and critted him so turns were red. So he turns, stresses, then tries another turn, which is a red, So I had control of his ship at the edge of the board. I jokingly say 'I can run him off the board here'

On Spain Wave 7 will be released the 28th, so it seems a good guess for the US. Raider date (today) was announced at the same time several weeks ago, and has been pretty accurate.
Ah ok, I'll just wait I guess.Judging by when it went on the boat (July 23), it probably won't be in stores until late September. I'd be surprised if it made it by the end of August to do that, it would have to go from on the boat to shipping by this coming Wednesday, less than a month after going on the boat. Stuff is usually on the boat for six weeks followed by a 10-day "shipping now" period before reaching store shelves.
So if you can wait another six weeks (or you're feeling lucky), just leave your order the way it is. Otherwise, sure, uncouple your order.
Wave 7 has switched to "shipped" on FFG website, so in 7-10 days for the US.
Also, what noone expected. At all. Really.
X-wings with boost, TIE Fighters with 4 actions, and apparently two "new" factions... but I guess they will be compatible with Rebels and Imperials. Otherwise, a lot of people will be pissed.
WAIT WHAT. I don't understand, are they considered different ships, or is it an upgrade to the existing Tie Fighter/X-Wing? This is a new starter set with exclusive cards and ships?
Edit: Also out of curiosity, how many of each ship are you guys planning on picking up for wave 7? And sorry I haven't updated the OP in a while, I'll get to it sooner or later.
I really REALLY hope these ships are compatible and it's not some separate edition crap.
Rookie here, so pardon my ignorance.
I'm assuming the new T-70's and TIE's are intended to be more points than their Wave 1 counterparts, correct? I know there's been a lot of discussion on "fixing" the Wave 1 stuff, my assumption is this is FFG's response - by beefing up the core X-Wing and TIE, but still allowing for the "cheaper" Wave 1 options, albeit with more limited abilities?

Also you may notice that the 2 bank template also has the S-loop icon on it, so the new TIEs will most likely have that maneuver.
Ah, gotcha.
Been following this game forever, but have still yet to actually pick it up. Trying to decide if getting the "classic" core and early wave stuff was still viable, or if I should just hold off at this point and wait for...whatever this is...to drop first. Thoughts are I'll still be picking up the early stuff for the pilots and abilities.
Still, pretty cool that it appears there will be some tougher X-Wings headed back into the fight.

My pre-order list for wave 7: one Hound's Tooth, 2 K-fighters, 2 TIE Punishers, 1 K-Wing. I am most excited about the TIE Punisher. Redline seems like the real deal.
Are you getting two Punishers for the cards? I feel like they are going to be costly to run in a 100 point squad (like the K-Wing) and am wrestling with whether or not to go with 1 or 2, but I think fitting 2 Punishers in a squad might be pushing it.

I'm wondering if will get Poe Dameron's unique X-Wing as well, or if they'll save that for a future release (or multi-pack).
And then there is also the Special Forces TIE/FO.
Mostly for the cluster mines template, and also for epic games.
I would get (and plan to get) two Punishers to have more copies of Twin Ion Engine Mk. II. Another Extra Munitions would be nice, too.
I can't remember if there are any cards that would be the Rebel equivalent of the Twin Ion Engine Mk. II card in the K-Wing pack that would warrant getting two of those? How many Twin Laser Turrets come in the pack, and are there cluster mines or just the conner net in that one?
Ugh. Really didn't want to have to get two Punishers (as I'd rather get two K-Wings if anything, even though I think that's also overkill but since I play Rebel more than Imperial) but I think you guys are convincing me.
EdgeofCosmos said:I have confirmation from other sources that the damage deck is updated.
Double-posting like a boss.
A Redditor named EdgeofCosmos said in the big thread over there:
So take that as you will.
I wonder if they'll require the new damage deck for tournaments starting with Worlds this November or with Store Champs next year.
I'm going to have to buy two of these goddamn starters now, aren't I.
Lol.
Don't see why you would. The dice aren't changing, from the looks of it. Unless you really want to be able to field squadrons full of T-70s and TIE/FOs in a more fiscally conservative manner than just buying a bunch of individual expansions.
If the damage deck is updated to allow crits to take out crew/system upgrades, I'd need two of those decks to play with friends who come over to play (with the updated rules at least).
I wouldn't like at all to pay 40 for a damage deck in case it's needed for tournaments.
Yeah. I really hope that if they update the damage deck that they sell it separate.
