Can you access the materials there during crafting/research?
No idea, i don't care for any of that.

Btw, people must bullshitting me when they say they prefer that shitty uber basic green looking inventory in fallout over starfield inventory...right?

At least in here you have different categories for different piece of armour, not everything in a fucking page, i get mad just by thinking to that shit...

That was one of the worst inventory i ever used in my life...

Other parts of the ui are shit tho.

Another small stupid thing...i can sell from my inventory and from the fucking ship inventory that is several km away from me but i can't sell from my companion inventory that is close to me?

Just why? Why doing something like this after 20+ years of making rpgs, this is amateur work.
The game really try its best to make you lose time with menial shit all the fucking time.

Why do i have to wait like 30 sec to sleep for an entire day? Why padding something so stupid when your game has hundreds of hours of content...

Yeah, this is bullshit and there are so many things that just don't make fucking sense from an inventory / user interface / item management perspective.

This is actually because when you skip time, the game simulation is running in the background.

All games do that, no one let you wait 30 fucking seconds, at least not modern games.

When i tried that i was in a closed room, so no light or sun to move in real time, the game could at least be smart and shorten the waiting when it doesn't have to show all the real time thing.

It's not like this game has advanced schedules for npcs or something never seen in other open world games, if anything the npcs and dynamic event feels at an historic minimum for a bethesda game, everything feels so scripted and lifeless and fake compared to 2018 rdr2 or even wd2...or you know, skyrim.

Yeah, game is not perfect. But it's one of the very few games ever that I simply can't stop playing. And when I'm not playing, I'm thinking about it. This is what a 10 out of 10 game is for me. This is it.

I'm happy that you are having a good time.

I'm liking this more than f4, so it's already a step up for me from their last game.

By dynamic events, do you mean random shootouts or wildlife attacks that happen in those games?

I don't think Bethesda games have that at all.

I am interested in how i can wreak havoc in a systematic way in cities/settlements. Like cutting off oxygen supply or exposing them to harmful elements. Not sure how much of that is in this game though.

You need good AI for that to be effective.

Definitely my GOTG so far but I do understand the mixed reviews as some people are just going to hate this as it is unapologetically Bethesda.

I've not no-lifed a game like this since Skyrim - most stuff gets blasted for the first 3-5 hours then I'll drop in now and then until it's finished but I'm absolutely hammering Starfield every day.

Some games have universal appeal and are easy to score high, see most Nintendo games.

Some like BG3 get swept up in a wave of extreme hype. While I do love BG3 (it is already my favourite CRPG) acts 2 and 3 are poor in comparison to act 1 and it's clearly unfinished. Like Starfield some people are going to absolutely hate it so reviewing it to the same standard as Starfield should have pumped out some 7/10 reviews for sure.

Yeah, i don't know, 2 npcs fighting, someone stealing something and getting chased, some wachy incident...

On an unrelated note: is it me or the when the space pirates in full suit die their gargle of death is similar to the helgast in killzone? that muffled argh...

Dumbest question ever... but what is the easiest way to get back to the lodge. I am out in the galaxy some where.. and I know I have done several gravity jumps, but I wanted to know if there is a easy way to plot a path back home? I cant seem to find a quest to get me to the lodge in my questlog.

What system is it in.. I guess I can get back with that as a starting point???

Alpha centauri system, planet Jemison. There's a fast travel spot for the lodge from space too

Classic Vasco!
Speaking of Vasco. I was having a hard time in the zero G space casino above Volii. At some point I assume the game felt pity for me trying to shoot all the enemies when Vasco came floating in and wiped them all out for me then he went back and stood in front of the dock door like always. First and only time that’s happened.

Gay porn is where it's at.
this game is very definition of slow burn, once it clicks, it just FUCKING CLICKS
if there were seamless flying between space and planets this wouldve been something truly special

Anyone has the game on steam? If we use the console commands, are the achievements inactivated?
I have seen some poeple say they do, some people say they dont, and some people say only certain console commands do.
Like apparently 'no clip' doesnt effetc achievements. Its a abit of a risk though if you do care a lot about achievements so i'd wait a bit until the proper game goes live and see what people are saying.

You get a warning saying some commands will disable achievements.

It looks like it flags you save and you can know it.

But there's already mods to enable achievements back.

Also just figured out if you sit there with your ship stationary for a minute, it’ll zoom out to a rotating view of your ship. Really cool!

Anyway when I took off, Vasco was standing on top of the ship. Is this normal? Then when it zoomed out he was still there!

Trying to recreate the ‘king of the world’ moment from the movie Titanic I see, but since he was alone it didn’t work and then a small part of his soul, that he never knew was even there, died.

This game can really catch you off guard with humor in the responses. I just started the Crimson Fleet side quest and was speaking with Delgado. One of the responses to what he was saying was so fucking funny I had to put my controller down.

God I love this game.

I’m trying to figure out whether it was a bug or just some silly easter egg they threw in. Thought for sure it was a bug when my ship took off with him standing on top, but I couldn’t believe he was still there later on.

I decided to bring the adoring fan with me for missions, he can carry a lot of weight and he always praise me when i kill stuff, steal from corpses or even when i reach my weight limit.

He cover my back, my side and my front (no homo)
Yup, I’m happy with him.

is there a way to use a default look for your ship, already bored at the prospect of having to spend like 30 minutes making my own spaceship .

I've been trying to figure that out myself. Pain in the ass having to apply the same color scheme to every section of the ship.

Just steal ships or you get a few as quest rewards in some cases if you dont fancy building one. Nothing is a must do in this game, barring a few essential perks.

As a primary PS5 player since its been out... I have honestly only really used my Xbox for Flight Simulator.... but I thought, what the hell. I will try this game out. I had money burning a hole in my pocket, so I bought the deluxe given that I had the weekend free.
This is the first time in a LONG time that I played pretty much the whole weekend. This game sinks hooks in you for real. It really is a time sinker. Just hit level 10 not even knowing what I am doing..

This is coming from somebody that played skyrim, but not more than an hour... it just didnt click even as much as a I wanted it to... but this game is different!!!!

My initial expectation - 7/10
1st session - solid 7/10 confirmed
2nd session - 8/10 maybe
3rd session - solid 8/10
4th session - can’t wait to play again. Score on that? Can’t ever score that feeling…
Exactly. My first impression was "meh". A few hours later "this game is good". More hours later "GOTY". It's not perfect but any means. It's buggy as hell sometimes. I'm not a fan of the writing. Main character sounds like a teenage girl. BUT I think this game is something special.

I've been mixing main quest with random exploration.

You guys probably knew this already but pictures you take in photo mode are used as loading screens. For the first time in forever I a have a reason to use photo mode.

At first I thought the NASA punk art style was bland. But it's growing on me.

thank goodness someone fixed the UI

This game is what CD Project Red was aiming for Cyberpunk to be.

Basically an all encompassing, immersive world that you can pretend to live in. Now there are obviously a ton more loading screens than Cyberpunk but the scope is also much larger.

Hopefully people are enjoying it but I feel like it would drive me nuts playing this on an Xbox.
I actually just built a PC mainly for this, RDR2 and some other larger games with a 4090, I9, 64gb of ram and a 2tb SSD so the loading is near instant in most cases.

But even things like public transportation to different hubs of the city is something that Cyberpunk lacks. Also the fact that I can just become employed and have a job outside of any quest lines.

NPC interaction is nearly identical to Cyberpunk though and leaves a lot to be desired. We can't have it all but it's just surprising what Rockstar managed to do with NPC's in RDR2.

Gunplay between the two is VERY similar. Neither are perfect and both feature slight jank but I don't consider that a bad thing necessarily. I enjoy when weapons feel a little clumsy and you can't easily hit perfect shots.

I highly recommend playing it on the hardest difficulty too as that's what I'm doing and it adds some extra challenge to the gun fights. I actually had to retreat from a mining facility yesterday because even though I had enough ammo, there were so many more enemies I hadn't killed yet and I ran out of med packs in the initial engagement. It was so intense of a gunfight that I ended up with a punctured lung! So as I'm walking back to my ship I took a huge gasp of air that knocked my oxygen bar down to below 25% which freaked me the fuck out. Luckily in the scuffle I looted a corpse/container somewhere in the building that gave me a medical item that seals your lung back up. It was nuts.

I'm definitely having a lot of fun so far. If you literally want to compare this game and Cyberpunk side by side simply travel to the city of Neon. It's pretty sick.

Edit: Oh and another thing, the NPC are the best Bethesda has ever done and in the majority of cases look very good. I'm actually shocked at how much they emote and wrinkle their foreheads and eyebrows. Once again very comparable to Cyberpunk though still slightly behind the face tech in that game. Horizon Forbidden West still holds the crown.

And I can't recommend that mod enough that turns off the LUT and makes the colors actually display properly without that grey haze over everything. Makes the game look incredible.
