I'm over excited, can't help it ..

watched 2 movies (usually I fall asleep before the half of any movie).. and they were Get Shorty, and Master & Commander

now I'm on the PC ..

I'm not sure why I'm starting this thread .. but .. I dunno .. thats it

Don't sweat it...it is just all that built up adrenaline. I started a new job in January (was with my previous employer since I graduated college 5 years ago). The first week on the job I slept an average of 3 hours a night - several nights I didn't sleep.

After that, it was life/work as normal.

Well, I'd imagine that you'll get plenty of sleep during the day with a job like that.

I'm kidding of course, congratulations. :)

When the stress/excitement is so bad that it's keeping me awake, or when I have general insomnia (when I get it, I get it bad), I take one - one - melatonin pill. It takes about an hour to kick in, but it works. Just make sure you leave plenty of time to get about 8 hours of sleep, because that's about how long it'll keep you under.

Ugh. I can't stand anything related to accounting. And I think I just failed my ACC exam today too. Have fun at your new job!

i'm like this with every new job i've had. i can never sleep the night before. A few times, i've stayed up just so that i wouldn't be late, and worked through the first day drained. i guess it depends on where you're starting, but the first day is usually mostly if not completely orientation, so it's not too important to be at 100%, as long as you look the part.
