While we're on the totally on-topic subject of snack foods, McDonalds over here is giving away Mario Kart 8 toys with their happy meals. I want those toys (yeah...) but I don't know how a 30+ person is supposed to go and ask for a happy meal at the store :|

When they were available here I would go up to the counter and say "Hello, I would like to buy the Happy Meal Mario Kart toys."

And then I had Happy Meal Mario Kart toys.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Cardboard Computer sent out an email in late November saying they were wrapping up work on Act IV and that it would be out soon, so maybe.

Emphasis on the "maybe". ;) "Soon" from Cardboard means about as much as a "Soon" from Valve, haha.

Tell me about it. I have the next 6 games I actually want to play already lined up and I don't know when I'll be able to get through them.

They will probably assume it's for your kids. Either way they don't give a fuck and neither should you.

Just go in and buy it. If they give you a strange look, you only answer "You're thinking i'm the loser, but you're the one working at McDonalds".

Done.

I know you're joking but it made me imagine the situation and man, it's pretty harsh. Being unemployed is already enough to make you feel like a loser, nobody should be called that for working a honest job to make a living. A lot of them are college students trying to pay the bills.

Escort missions in DD are crap.
I need to escort one dude from Gran Soren.
First I meet an ogre, the dude dies.
Ok, reload, I manage to kill the ogre, I go on, and I face a chimera. Luckily I manage to kill it and the dude is still alive because I grabbed him with RT.
I'm near the destination and the dude falls into a crevice. Really?
And everytime you need to start all over again from Gran Soren, killing those mid-bosses.

The AI is really fucking stupid in DD. There is some kind of "cheat" where you just put a teleport stone where your goal is, teleport there and this guy follows you to there...

Because i put on hold RotTR until i buy new GPU i got back playing Bloodborne and I defeated second boss (first mandatory) in after 3rd try in under 4 minutes. Not bad i am getting better and better in this game :D But still some things annoy me. It is interesting experience when you play Witcher 3 and Bloodborne back to back :D

Really?
Where I can take teleport stones?
Because I found none until now.

You need to advance in the story. The first one you'll get is in
the everfall in gran soren, then there's one in the shadow fort, one in the dragonforged cavern and later on there's another in the bluemoon tower and one in the witchwood, but it' under the witch's house and you can't access it the first time. They're all easy to find, but most places can't be accessed right away
.

Anyway, don't start those stupid quests until you have at least 1-2 portcrystals down.

Or tell me your pawn name and I'll gift you some portcrystals tonight. I still can't see all the pawns from my friend list, so I'll have to search by level and name.

Most quests in DD in general are total garbage.

It's a shame that a game with combat that good is filled with such inane and boring quests.

I actually think RotTR is optimised pretty well.

I can play that game on high on almost all settings (turned that hair thing off) in 1080p with a 280x and have 60fps almost all the time.

after we talked about external cooling for laptops, I concocted fairly simple cooling system of my own, and OMG what difference did it make! I went from 90°+ temperature to 80°+ (while playing games) just like that. I wish I knew it earlier, why I ever believed it makes no difference I'll never understand. Well, I kept a room cool too, so it might be partly because of this, but still, mindblown. I hope it means no overheating for me anymore until I fix my PC.

edited: all this KR0 talk makes it really hard to resist, but I have to, no way I can squeeze even more games than I already play.

edit2: we have 3! new mods? oh wow
not sure should I congratulate you guys or pity. I'll make it your choice.
Congratulations!
I'm sorry!

edit3: where is everybody?

Yeah, KR0 does look super cool and the good things that everyone says about it do make it tempting, but at this point I've waited so long I'm just going to hold out until the whole thing is out. Considering the pace that they are on I don't see the point of jumping in now.

I'm doing my first Enemy Within run right now thanks to all the xcom 2 talk.

I really like all the campaign modifiers they added. It's helps keep things interesting for those that have played enemy unknown already and want a different experience.

And yeah of course I select save scum as a modifier because some dice rolls are Bulls it hah

Also, I guess with the dx12 update for Rise being closer than I thought I might as well hold off. I'm just hoping it's not a Witcher 3 situation where I waited half a year for the game to be patched up and decent. At least Rise doesn't seem to be as buggy as tw3 was

If Disgaea emotes go wild with prinnies I can see those being quite popular.
Dang still probably will take a cake, at least I hope so.

planning on which of those to spend gems. Maybe on both even?

SC is pitifully easy, especially compared to FC, not sure what you're talking about.

I don't agree with you, boss battles are hella long, calling help is rampant and don't even get me started on status effects and health regeneration.
And magic is not effective in most cases either, at least if I have some custom set of orbs that works for me in other cases, bosses tend to be immune or have extra defence against all magic I can use. Then I'm forced to start battle over, set up orbments differently what makes my party slower not to able heal so good and fast, etc.
I don't know why would you even argue a point, SC is more difficult.

I found one in the Abyss's quest, my pawn's name is Ciri, any help is appreciated :D
Also I just saw there are a bunch new escort missions...oh my God, I think I'll just skip all of them, because really, they are a pain to do.

Here's a fun little game. Go through your Steam game playtimes and find the top five most-played games that you received from a Humble Bundle or an equivalent. I don't mean games that have been in a bundle, I mean games you first got from a bundle. Humble Weekly, Humble Monthly, Bundlestars, IndieGala, etc. are all legal, but bundles on places like Steam, Amazon, GMG, etc. aren't.

Here's mine:

1. The Binding of Isaac (16 hours)
2. The Talos Principle (14)
3. Legend of Grimrock (13)
4. Murdered: Soul Suspect (5.9)
5. The Marvellous Miss Take (5.3)

Last but not least, slap yourselves for all the great games you got in those bundles but haven't played yet.

Was trying to see what games I've played and came to a horrible realization, that I haven't actually played ANY of the games I've gotten from a bundle. Maybe just started up once but never actually played. Makes one stop and wonder....

The only game I know I played a lot that came from a bundle is Dead Space 3, but an Origin game.

hope everyone had a great weekend.

Mine was excellent, especially because I got some time to get mingw installed on my computer so I could start learning C.

As for gaming, had the typical PC experience,

Friday: Told myself I'd make a big push to finish Pillars of Eternity, played for 3 hours, finished act two.

Saturday: ended up messing around with Doom source ports, and then playing some Sublevel Zero.

Sunday: Picked up Galak-Z, now this is a video game. Everything comes together so perfectly, gameplay, art style, sound, music. It's just incredible. Also got determined to enter a stable orbit in Kerbal Space Program. Had to read about periapsis and apoapsis, and gravity turns. Was getting confused until I realized all I had to do was burn enough fuel at the apoapsis of my current orbit to expand it so I would orbit around Kerbin and not crash into it. It felt great!

not even one in he top 40 or so :p

seems like I play the games I bought, cause I'm really interested in them, more often than I thought...

and everything with a playtime below ten hours just vanishes in a see of hundreds of idled bundle games...

only one in top 20:
Lexica - 43 hours
yeah, it's probably a record, I mean nobody could have spent more time with this game.
At least I think I got it in a bundle, not 100% sure.

This is why I don't use Idlemaster.

Urg you've made me realise I've barely played any of the many bundled games I own.

1. Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition -12 hours
2. Dead Island - 7.4 (and that was my foolishly wasting my life for playfire money as I grew bored of the game half way through that)
3. Contradiction - 7.3
4. Metal Slug - 7
5. Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds - 6.6

To put this in perspective there are more then 50 games with higher play times then the top one in this list.
