The Binding of Isaac, it's dirty cheap and is awesome. You must get the DLC.
It doesn't ooze atmosphere, exploration, horror or mystique, though.
It oozes lots of shouting and coursing instead.

This goes without saying, but PurchaseRestrictedCountries is intended to block certain countries from purchasing, like with Space Quest and AU/NZ because Acti sucks:
With region-specific subs, using "Yes" instead of "No" restricts the sub availability to the mentioned territories (they'd otherwise show up in the stores of other regions). For example, clicking this link will work while this one will just redirect you back to the main page.
I would like games that oozes atmosphere, maybe exploration, horror or mystique. I already added the Amnesia games to my wish list.

To start you off: Gone Home, the Half-Life 2 series, the Stalker series (shadow or call), the Metro series, and DEFCON.
EDIT: Also your profile is set to private.
EDIT2: Yep The Swapper is good too.
Steam Machines won't be out till Q2/Q3 '14 presumably, so basing them on "currently" is a tad silly. Valve said they're working with devs on it and expect more announcement. Of course to what extent, we don't know, but that's all we have for now.
You have it pretty well covered with that list. You can chuck out NWN if you want to save some money or add ultima 6 and 7 if you want the two best games of all time.
The game is all about atmosphere, exploration and horror or mystique. It's also really hard and sometimes unfair but that doesn't make it less awesome.
I have set my profile to "users only". =/
Thanks for the recommendations. Yeah, I already got Gone Home and Metro on my wish list but I don't think the Stalker series is on Linux. I'll check up on it.
I'm only looking for Linux games, as my Windows computer can't play games well and my MacBook is only for work and studies.
Guys, can you help me out?
After I played through FEAR and Riddick, I've decided to drown myself in RPGs (mostly old one, with the isometric view), and I need a few recommendations.
My list as of now is:
Planescape: Torment
Icewind Dale 1 and 2
Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
(I already own Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics)
What would you add? Basically, go on GOG.com and tell me what to buy in the RPGs section. :lol
Journey of a Roach worth jumping into? I've never played a Daedalic game before.
Oh man I was all excited about that Defiance giveaway since I'm currently watching the show, what happened to it? I doubt the game can live up to the rating of excellent trash that I have currently assigned to the tv-show.
ModBot said:gabrielt16 claimed your Defiance key. There were 70 entrants.
Thanks again for being generous.
It's over
Yeah, for now I'm only listing the games on the wish list. Then I'd probably just wait for buying anything on Steam until steamOS and the Steamboxes actually release. We have no idea what the end result will be, and Linux support could be very different at that time, whenever it is.
Oh man thanks for Defiance, poopninjamvc3mk. I watched the show and got hooked on it an I read the game ties up with the show so I am excited to see that.
Hmm... seems like the price for Payday 2 is fixed
They did; the new enemies, floor variants, and the addition of items to the item pool that sometimes aren't preferential to get all add up to something that's a bit harder than the original if you already unlocked all the vanilla content. It's even worse if you're going into it fresh.Just got the Binding of Isaac dlc. Did they make this shit even harder? o.0 Maybe it's just rust, but I could clear the og version pretty easily.

You need to add Arcanum to that list, it's not perfect but I think it's a great game.

That is a new one, but welcome! Make sure to grab yourself the enhanced steam plugin, find some games you want and post your profile link if you want some friends and an invite to the steam group.
My opinion: don't even bother with NWN and Icewind Dale, they are just subpar, but definitely get Ultima VII (at least), look into Gothic (start with the first one). The other extremely worthy ones are Ultima Underworld, Arx Fatalis, Arcanum (!!!) and Darklands. Oh, and then there is Divine Divinity and its sequels, and Wizardry (8 is the only one I played so far, but it's excellent), and Betrayal at Krondor, and Dark Sun, and Albion (the last two aren't on GOG or Steam though). Enough to last you a few years, really.
Bioshock Infinite man.I would like games that oozes atmosphere, maybe exploration, horror or mystique. I already added the Amnesia games to my wish list.
Thank you! Added those games to my wishlist.
Some are seriously old. :lol
About Baldur's Gate, is it safe to assume that the best versions are the recently released HD versions?

Get STALKER immediately. Specifically Call of Pripyat, but Shadow of Chernobyl is really good too.
Those and Dishonored.Bioshock Infinite man.
Or either of the first two if you haven't played them yet.

Is there anyway to fix the gunplay a little? Master is kicking my ass because five enemies will ping me while I'm trying to take down one with headshots and the damage rate of them vs me is a little insane...
Yes, yes, yes: Tone down the difficulty: That would be nice if: BULLETS DIDN'T DISAPPEAR on lower difficulties. Even enemies bullets disappear. WTF GCW??
Thank you! Added those games to my wishlist.

Anyone here used RandomGameKeys.eu?
I imagine most of it is garbage, but I'm curious if anyone here has bought random Steam keys there and got something good.
From what I've heard elsewhere, they're mostly reselling indie bundle keys (illegally?)

Absolutely, Pripyat at night or dusk raining, in Pripyat, during an event, modded, maxed graphics, headphones = the most atmospheric game I have EVER played. It is absolutely wonderful. Another one I'd easily recommend is Dark Souls.
I'm pretty sure it all depends on your weapon/armor. In master difficulty, the enemies are just as fragile as you are, but they may have better armor/guns. If you're constantly upgrading your arsenal and equipping good artifacts, you should be fine for the most part.
Not sure if there's any mods that fix gunplay per se, this might help: http://www.moddb.com/mods/mso-massive-simulation-overhaul
It revamps the entire AI system and revises their reaction times/accuracy/behavior etc.
Would you recommend vanilla "Shadow of Chernobyl", or modded (i.e. the Misery mod, or the "Stalker Complete" mod)? From what I understand, the two mods are complete overhauls of game mechanics, but the community reviews are a bit divisive.
Finally finished Rogue Legacy today (NG+ awaits), and I think I can confidently say this is on my shortlist for 2013 Game of the Year whenever GAF runs the thread. It has so much I look for in a game
Terribly disappointing.
