To you and Smash88: I had the same unit, and Best Buy gave me $100 gift card for it. As mentioned above, the $10 offer was on the website, but this deal is in-store. The offer runs through this Saturday, the 23rd.
Just took a look at AC4 on Steam...and no fucking achievements yet again...seriously Ubisoft? I can tolerate Uplay but if Rocksmith 2014 has them there is no reason Black Flag shouldn't.
PS4 version for me I guess when I pick it up. 3 killed me but I'll give the series another shot I suppose.

k, I caved in and bought Jade Empire and the Full Spectrum Warrior pack (used to play the shit out of the full spectrum warrior series back in the old days on original xbox; they ruled).

I'll admit, I'm not as excited about Elder Scrolls Online as I am Fallout 4.

True. I'm glad I'll have access to the beta (free) because I probably won't pay for a monthly subscription. The last time I did that was when Final Fantasy XI hit and... never again.

Not surprising. Too many recent PC releases are either terribly unoptimized with crap fps or are broken out of the box.

I think there is a day-one patch, but I have to wait for this sloth-like Uplay update to finish first. Almost halfway there!
Yeah, I've capped the game to 30fps. Consistency is preferable to wild fluctuations.

This Uplay nonsense is making me think to not bother with the PC version of Watchdogs.
The constant patching is nonsensical, but after the initial install/setup, Uplay isn't too terribly inconvenient. That being said, I would still rejoice should Uplay meet a sudden end in the future. GFWL was only the beginning...
Now now, same could be said for steam updates if you were in the beta. Also, it's a new release, this happens to almost any AAA releases within a release week. It's to be expected.

Toucans with a bit of string between them actually could deliver the data faster.

Yeah i'm not a big fan of the Uplay stuff still feels like more of a pain on PC. It was ok on console stuff when it was kept simple and for unlocks.

Is Max Payne's white dot for aiming supposed to be REALLY small on widescreen monitors? The game wouldn't be bad (besides me fumbling to find the bullet time activation key instead of shootdodge everywhere) on Windows 8 if I could fix that and maybe use a controller on it.
