Jumping back into Sleeping Dogs, I forgot how difficult it is to drive 2 minutes without crashing. It's not even me, it's the asshole AI changing lanes and shit. I think i got to 1:48 and someone crashed into me.

This could take a while.

Start on the highway circular from the road works in Northpoint and you can get 3:00 mins clean drive easy peasy. 4:00 with Sagittarius FM on the radio.

It also helps if you use a slower car, so even at max speed obstacles will be easier to dodge.

Have you finished the game? According to Steam I have 2 hours and unless it picks up in the next hour I'm not gonna keep playing it, to me it feels like a sloppy slow paced GTA without guns, hopefully I'm wrong.

It's more of an open world beat em up than a GTA clone.

oh man! please stick with it. it's one of the better games from last year. no joke.

it is a bit slow going in the beginning though.

Taking out GFWL would be like, work, man!

So if GFWL is going away, what happens to games that require GFWL that don't have it removed? Still mostly playable? Loss of online functionality?

I just finished my gaming PC recently and am working through all the stuff I've picked up over the years during sales and I know there's a bunch of GFWL titles on my list that haven't been patched to remove GFWL (Dark Souls, some older Capcom games, etc.)...

From what I understand most of the DLC is basically cheats anyway.

.

it is. Better weapons and the like that have no level restriction.
Though they mainly only seem to benefit the first 2 generations before turning into regular weapons stats wise.

This is all based on my experiences with the console version of Agarest, but since people are asking about it...
Agarest DLC isn't even that bad since you don't need any of it unless you like collecting DLC. Which I don't think anyone has gotten to that point on Steam yet.
The dlc will become useful/desirable if you make it through to generation 4, where the new protagonist embodies every teenage angst ridden trope you could possible imagine and the game starts throwing 4-5 mandatory identical encounters between events. At this point you've realised the failings of the battle system and you just want to hammer through the rest of the game for the story.

Aside from that I have 25+ hours in it I think and have been enjoying myself mainly for the story and characters. As for the gameplay I couldn't tell you much since i'm currently cheating my ass off since I didn't want to bother with grinding xp or farming items to get better items. If there's one thing I don't like about Agarest is that you can't actually buy better weapons just base weapons which you have to upgrade and combine to get better stuff. Which is more a pain in the ass if you're aren't into that.
The game is its own worst enemy in this regard, and all other rpgs I've played by the same dev team suffer from the same issue - to get new equipment, you must grind battles (cos buying stuff would be too simple) to get materials, you can only get materials via orchestrating elaborate combos on enemies but the battle system itself eventually saps your will to live as the same battles (all devoid of anything resembling tactics) drag on and on... I eventually just settled on using auto battle for everything except bosses.

Long story short, at a deeper discount, I'd say its probably worth a gamble, but I wouldn't rebuy at this price, it's not the game you want leading the charge to get more japanese titles on steam.

Bisai is by far and away the best car to do anything in. Plus if you got the free Community Pack dlc you got one in your garage right from the start (or when the first apartment is unlocked).

I really love(d) the community scoreboard aspect of Sleepy Dawgs. Nothing like a bit of one-up-manship to spur you on.

yeah, i've tried that a few times. Going to give another go and see if I get lucky.

steam says i'm 30 hours in. The game is terrific, it's basically an old school Hong Kong action movie. If you can look past some plot holes near the end, it's a terrific game. Plus it looks gorgeous maxed out.

It's more of a melee-focused GTA type. They do introduce guns, but they no where near as prevalent as in something like GTA. I highly advise to stick with it, it's quite enjoyable.

good to know.
Also glad you explained the weapon crafting. i figured that was how it was set up. doesn't make it any better though.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
I own the game and I can see the store page, but no DLC to buy.

Right. The app still exists (for some reason) but the sub has been removed, meaning you cannot buy the game or it's DLC.

Which is something that I've only seen happen when the situation is temporary, but I could be wrong.

After this screenshot, that will change.

The real AssCreed confirmed.

TL;DR: Finished Deadly Premonition, took 16 hours, personal GOTY. Now to the rest of the side missions (only finished like 5% of them!)

The Steam servers are really not conducive to updating reviews. Clicking from page to page kicks me right to the Games page 99% of the time.

But it's nice that you can edit reviews now. Gone are the days of posting something, then copying/pasting/deleting/reposting because you caught a typo.

but you're right it looks great

Hi guys and girls. I've recently put together a new PC and so a friend and I are looking for 2 player coop games that we can play online together. We'd prefer coop campaign games but might be interested in something different if it is fun.

The catch is that our budgets are limited and we don't want to spend anymore than $15 on a game.

It'd be great if someone could give us some tips and steer us in the right direction.
Lara Croft & The Guardian of Light.

Some spotty netcode if there's quite a bit of distance between you two, but one of the best downloadable co-op games you can buy on Steam and one of my personal favorites.

Coming: Whenever Sony says it's cool.
I like the 'cover' art.

Ubisoft bound to slap uPlay on this makes me sad.

Resident Evil Revelations is a darn fine video game. So far I've played 2 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. Looks great too.

Mother of god they need to adjust the activity feed. I'm sure this is because of the changes today, but damn my feed is now a mess of reviews. Something simplified would be nice where I can click to see the whole review.

I really really hope it gets a decent discount come wednesday. I've been intrigued by it ever since it was announced.

Likewise only because of Based Durante

JaseC might know something about that.

It does look good. But as for everything else it all comes down to what you like.
I personally preferred RE6 more. Revelations just felt to basic for me as a return to roots effort. Still worth a play though.

If the worst they do is Uplay then I can deal with that .

get rid of that shit for now until the rush is over

btw I'm pretty sure jshackles is enjoying all of this. He can probably fix all of these problems with ES.
