Steam Achievement leaks (Pinball FX2, Mortal Kombat, Deadpool, KOF XIII, etc)

What is this madness that is taking place recently? Seems like every damn game known to man is coming to Steam. I was happy with Lords of Shadow but now I'm being crushed in a tidal wave of games. I can't hold all these games!

King of Fighters XIII will be mine

Publishers waking up and realizing that they're just leaving money on the table by not releasing PC versions.

*every game that ever was announced for Steam*
*still no Half-Life 3*

And to think that Steam Sales have had me buy every game I thought I'd want. There goes that.

You don't have enough hate and loathing to spread around you mean?

When are achievements created in a game development process? Just to know how much indicative these leaks are on the state of some games (Prey 2, 2K Marin's XCOM).

Damn... This next gen will be the first gen I've never bought a system from that gen since the NES. IT'S ALL VALVE'S STEAMY LEAKS FAULT!!!

How am I supposed to be able to build a super computer and buy all these damn games!

I bet you would have said that about Viking: Battle for Asgard...

No, because Viking was made by a PC centric studio and a PC version was originally intended. It just ended up getting canned. I was told later, that Hardlight was working on a port though, shortly after SEGA shitcanned their vita game.

I guess I would have found it unlikely after such a long duration but overall it was more likely to happen than Valkyria.

Generally I'd say near the end. Not sure how indicative that is for Prey, that's kind of a special case given that it seems to have been in development hell for a while.

I still care about this. The art direction is tremendous.

Last we heard, it had turned into a third-person shooter (then again, the last footage we saw for the game had significantly less interesting gameplay--very Brothers in Arms or Mass Effect-like).

I worry.

I would imagine pretty late. I would imagine creating achievements and hooking them up to the various APIs (and obviously submitting said achievements to the servers) would be one of the last things you do during beta.

Steam letting a pinball game into the service, isn't that one of the 12 signs of the apocalypse?

nah, it's just a sign that they pulled their heads out their asses. about time. I will support pinball games on steam. it feels good to take them off my shit list.

Not gonna happen. Ever. Though I'd laugh my ass off it did.

I see no reason why it wouldn't seeing as Viking made it on Steam.
Heck make Total War: Valkyria next and you'll get extra Japanese sales as well.

And Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta and Shenmue please.

I have a feeling we'll see this along with a lot of SEGA titles announced for the Steambox/Steamcast once it gets officially revealed.

For that matter, when can we expect it to be revealed? E3?

My consoles are becoming increasingly redundant. Good to see more fighters on Pc as I feel that is the genre it's weakest in.

First there's a minuscule market for JRPG on PC, second, as I've previously stated Viking was made by a PC-centric studio, third there was spare funds in Hardlight's budget after their Vita project was canned, fourth, the PC version had already been in development during the development of the console versions. So it was easy for Hardlight to finish production during their transition to mobile games.
