It's worse than bad.
Most of us only gave it a chance because we hope that Kim Swift will be our waifu one day.
Finished I Am Alive. It had a lot of nice ideas that didn't quite go far enough but I'd like to see another game like it, maybe in an open world. As it stands you pretty much play in 1 large open area for most of the game, outside of some interiors for missions, and they do a pretty good job hiding stuff and survivors in it. Some of the platforming and climbing seemed to have multiple paths too with well placed (and needed) items hidden in those paths.
For as much hell as this game went through it turned out quite nice for a budget release.

I subscribe to the theory that the worst someone can call your game is "boring", not "bad". A bad game can still bring some enjoyment to the player, kinda like watching shitty movies with your friends and trash-talk them.

I think it's both. It's design is bad and entertaining to make fun of with friends. It also makes the player sleepy.

Metacritic gave it a fairly good score, I guess neogaf-critic is on another level

Every preview of the game had a minimum of 3 paragraphs about Kim Swizzle. It's not surprising.
I did want a Puzzle Bots key - it's the only game from the Wadjeteye bundle that I don't have.
Gemini Rue is pretty cool, I never played Resonance.
If I knew earlier I could give you the key to Puzzle Bots from the bundle. It's the only game I didn't want from the bundle

And the guy who wrote Borderlands 2 works for them.
I think I found my arch nemesis.
Most people seem pretty harsh on it, but I thought it had some boring parts with a mix of some really excellent puzzles and set pieces. It has enough: "holy shit I actually did that" moments that it was worth it for me.

Personally, I didn't think Quantum Conundrum was as bad as everybody is saying. Sure the humor fell flat but some of the mechanics were kind of fun for a while.
I didn't finish it as it does overstay its welcome, but I think there is potentially some fun to be had from it. GAF made me expect it to be a god-awful piece of shit but its ok imo. Its just not the amazing follow up to Portal that everyone wanted.

I bought GTR Evolution, Race 07, Race On and STCC: The Game, and there are a few things to note:
- The key for GTR Evolution activates GTR Evolution, Race 07 and the Race 07 Formula RaceRoom DLC
- The key for Race 07 activates Race 07 and the Race 07 Formula RaceRoom DLC
- The key for Race On activates Race 07, the Race 07 Formula RaceRoom DLC, Race On and STCC: The Game
- The key for STCC: The Game activates Race 07, the Race 07 Formula RaceRoom DLC and STCC: The Game
Basically, if you want all of the above, just buy GTR Evolution and Race On.

Quantum Conundrum was my biggest disappointment of last year. I'm a huge puzzle game fan and I was really looking forward to it.
I could live with the poor graphics. I could live with the terrible writing and voice acting. What I couldn't stand was the god awful puzzle design. They were boring, repetitive, and more often then not, based on crappy twitch gameplay.

OH good god, thank you for this. I've hesitated dipping into these games for so long because I did not know how to unravel this twisted knot.

I think it helped that I went into it with very low expectations, given the backlash it had. All I'm saying is that if you forget that this is the Kim Swift of Portal fame you might get some enjoyment out of it. I don't disagree that it is disappointing given the hype and expectations.

Sweet. Just showed this to someone at work at they said "Yeah? So?" to which I pointed out "You know what this might mean? Konami using Steamworks might mean Pro Evo on Steam with Workshop support" at that point his jaw dropped.

If Konami can get PES even half way back to its best this year and get it on Steam then I can feel a whole lot better about not giving any more of my money to EA.
Exactly. This doesn't just mean Steamworks for Lords of Shadow 1.
But probably they are going to adopt it for the sequel, Soccer, MGS series, ZoE series, Silent Hill series, etc.
Steamworks is great for price competition on the PC space, and I love achievements.
Well I haven't been into the PES modding scene since the abomination that was 2008 but what with all that FOX engine lick of paint showed off in Edge recently I'm willing to give Seabass my trust again. 5 still ranks high on my list even though online on PC was a right pain. Steamworks to the rescue hopefully.
