I've never played any of the Jagged Alliance games, and I always get so confused about which ones are good and which ones to avoid that I never bother paying attention to the sales. I miss the good old days when sequels had numbers.

Jagged Alliance 2 is recommended. It's a bit more complex than the modern X-COM game though, imho, as far as managing things during the time between missions, and maintaining gear (you have finite ammo). The cover mechanic is streamlined in X-COM as well; in JA2, you have to specify whether to stand, crouch, or prone.

The new ones (Back in Action) seem to have gotten a mixed reception. I can never tell in these cases though, whether if it wasn't called Jagged Alliance: Back in Action, would it have gotten a better reception on its own merits. i.e. if it got panned because it strayed too far from the original formula.

Sadistically gracious~ No, but I just love teasing people. Fooling people isn't my style on April Fools, I think it's more fun to tease and leave people in anticipation, but too much teasing without a reward just makes it boring, so make the teasing and anticipation worthwhile, possibly.

I just changed how the grid mode works.

Go to \Steam\resource\layout\gamespage_grid
And then set interior spacing to 00 and GridView.DropShadowLeading to 00 as well.

Then in Steam mess around with the sliders in grid mode, should give the result in my screenshot.

Much like Lords of Shadow 2, I'm thinking it will have a simultaneous release. The 2015 release date gives them time to get that going, unlike Ground Zeroes where Konami's push for PC came too late in development.

That would be ideal. Revengeance did have a wait period but it wasn't that bad, and it came with DLC. A surprise Ground Zeroes would not be unwelcome.

Playfire gave me the reward for starting Escape Goat 2 for the first time twice. Not that i'm complaining.
Profile's "still" not synched properly, looks like I really have to boot up every single game i've ever earned achievements in for them to show up on Playfire.

Even though it's a bit rough around the edges, i'm really liking the service. And it's rewards-system's pretty nice, too. Earning achievements for a bigger Dark Souls II discount is pretty cool.
