One of the things I like about PUBG is that it's the least competitive PvP game I've ever played. I'm never going to get 1st place anyway, so why worry about it? Just go in and have some misadventures. The game tends to play out some very dynamic, organic scenarios constantly from the variety of random elements (players, loot, circles, crates, vehicle spawns, vehicle "physics", etc.) that tend to be pretty entertaining.
Also since it's not a team game (unless you bring friends or subject yourself to grouping for some reason) the toxic factor is basically nonexistent compared to other online MP games and you practically have to go look for it instead of it just blanketing the whole experience.
