Steam Deck Previews

so the Type-C port can let the Deck connect to an aftermarket dock that can then enable the use of an external video card (assuming Windows is the Deck's OS)?
No, I never said that... It can output at 8K, but not necessarily play games at that resolution. Retro games, maybe. If you want to use an external graphics card, you would have to use the internal NVMe slot. I don't know if that would work very well either. They could've made it like the Asus X13 Flow and given it a proprietary port for an external graphics card, but that's not very elegant and would cost a lot.

Then what are you waiting for the Xbox handheld Phil!?

There's no need for an xbox handheld though. Local streaming means you can play your xbox games on your phone, tablet, or portable pc, and the Deck means you can play xbox pc games on it if you wish. Not to mention Cloud Gaming works ridiculously well.

After watching that teardown, looks like warranties will be void the second you attempt to replace the SSD thanks to those stickers over the screws on the thermal shielding that covers the SSD. He also said lots of things that are sure to make lots of people think twice before doing it themselves. Imagine replacing your SSD and wrecking battery life, thermals, and your wifi/bluetooth being interfered with. Just stick to SD cards.
