If the source code is lost, it would have to be remade from the ground up. And I'm skeptical that anyone is willing to do that and able to pay the rights to rerelease the game.

Yeah, I understand, just saying that Konami sucks now and you can't expect anything else than pachinko machines from them nowadays.
I love my physical games, I only buy them digital if there's no other way to get them at a reasonable price (except Steam games, but I want to buy Dark Souls 3 and The Witcher 3 physical too).

Yeah, but why not just package it with DOSBox or whatever on digital storefronts? Just giving it a higher profile and making it more accessible could keep it from being forgotten even if sales weren't good enough to ignite interest in trying to do anything more than that.

Okay, maybe not entirely nothing at all. Think of The Witcher 3.

RPG systems usually just add more levels of busywork to games that don't need it.

How is Dead Space 1? Is it worth a play?

It's an action-horror game that started out as System Shock title. I was thinking about it the other day when I was thinking of games that Prey is basically in the same lineage as. I haven't played it in a long time, but I imagine it holds up alright. I think it requires ini editing to get better than 30 FPS, and probably higher resolutions. There are some turret sections that are generally regarded as crap.

I'd say go for it. There are worse games you could try for October.

Lmao, I am just trying to complete games on my backlog. Sakura games are short like 1-2 hours lol - so easy ones to knock out .

Also wanna hit 100 games completed for this year.
