A friend just linked me Elegy for a Dead World and it looks very, very interesting. Not sure how it works exactly, but I love the idea behind it and the whole audiovisual style in that trailer. Not going to take the plunge now but I'll definitely check it out in the future.

Weird, didn't encounter anything apart from one cutscene that didn't trigger after a fight.

There are these two leapers that stole trace's memories. I kill both. No enemies left. Door won't open. No cutscene triggers or anything. I reload the checkpoint, and kill them again, and still nothing.
And this isn't the first time. There was another boss, I think it was green teeth, and I had the same exact problem. After beating the boss, nothing happens. I had to look up a "solution" that involved killing all the minions before finishing off the boss. I hoped the same thing would work again here, but no go.
I really wanted to have more interest in Agarest and I do like the battle system but the VN side of it is a deal breaker (specially with it's execution).

I played it a long time ago and the game isn't memorable except for a few bosses so I might be thinking of another area.

Just download NullpoMino, Texmaster, Cultris 2 or some other fanmade game. Or the original DOS Tetris. Or check out Tetris Online Poland (since PSO SchtServ talk is allowed, this should be OK too - it's a closed down Japanese f2p version that got a private server).
Unless you really want it on Steam. They probably are better than most of the guideline Tetris games lately, anyway.

Huh. That's sort of like what I had, but a checkpoint reload fixed it.
Sorry it's not working out for you. All I can think of keep trying the reloads (yes, I know how boring that would be)
Can you describe the room you're in for me? I usually have better photographic memory for this kind of things.

Given the style of inventory management, it probably actually is the closest on that list.
I only have the world 6 stages left to beat on Hexcells Infinite but I think I'll try to do it some other day.
The levels gets bigger and bigger and that makes me feel a bit uneasy because I expect to spend a long while looking at them.
The level of satisfaction when completing a level is higher than in the previous 2 games though.

So I'm finally well enough to go back to school. Which start tomorrow. I'm excited (yeah weird, who the hell is excited for school). I won't be on GAF as much cause I gotta focus and try to graduate as soon as possible.

I don't think they were (and that's a mod, not a dev). As per Archive.org's caches, Steam's own Top 100 doesn't show any Forge title for that (almost) one-month period (i.e. neither game had more than ~900 players), plus historical player data for Forge F2P shows that it had trouble maintaining an active player base at all during non-promotional periods.
